UCF has not confirmed the order of Finfrock and Rodgers' starts, though on Tuesday you could tell Rooney was seriously contemplating starting Rodgers on Friday though it would shorten his rest time by one day.
It can't be overstated how important this weekend is. You simply have to win the series.
Not that ECU needs any incentive to want to beat UCF, you better believe first-year coach Cliff Godwin and his ex-UCF crew (assistant Jeff Palumbo, baseball ops Peter Buscaino) will be chomping at the bit to take down the Knights.

No. 24 UCF Heads to East Carolina for Weekend Series

GREENVILLE, N.C. (UCFKnights.com) - No. 24 UCF completes a span of seven of eight games on the road with a trip to ECU. The series begins on Friday at 6:30 p.m. and continues on Saturday at 4 p.m. before concluding at 11 a.m. Sunday.
The Knights are looking to end a 4-9 skid and get back on track after starting the year 21-7. Both teams enter with 26-16 overall marks and are separated by one game, UCF (5-7) and ECU (6-6), in a bunched-up league race, which has everyone chasing USF at 8-4.
East Carolina is led by first-year head coach Cliff Godwin, who served under head coach Terry Rooney from 2009-11. Godwin assisted as the Knights' recruiting coordinator and hitting coach, helping to set school records in home runs (78) and batting average (.439) during the 2010 season.
