UCF hosts East Carolina at noon on Senior Day
ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF men's basketball team returns home after its second straight loss looking to close out the regular season with a couple of wins, beginning with Saturday's home contest against East Carolina at noon.
Before the Knights (12-15, 5-11) dropped two in a row to Memphis and Cincinnati they had won three straight against USF, Houston and Tulane. UCF will aim to get back to those winning ways against the Pirates, who sit just one half game ahead of the Knights in the standings.
ECU (12-16, 5-10) has lost three of its last four games, most recently falling at home to UConn by a score of 60-49. The Pirates took care of the Knights 67-49 back on Feb. 7, holding UCF to just 2-of-16 from beyond the arc and forcing 17 turnovers.
Saturday will be the final regular season home game of the season and thus mark the final regular season game in front the home fans for seniors Kasey Wilson and Myles Davis. The pair of elder statesmen for the Knights will be honored for their achievements and commitment to UCF prior to tip-off at CFE Arena.
The game will air on ESPNews and the WatchESPN app with Allen Bestwick and Kevin Lehman on the call. Fans can also listen to the action on AM 740 The Game, TuneIn.com and the TuneIn app with Voice of the Knights Marc Daniels and former UCF guard Taylor Young calling the action.
