Hello Friends...As Spring welcomes us down Magnolia Lane once again...oh wait, wrong script.
Its August...its hot...it must mean: UCF FOOTBALL IS BACK!
Here is how the weekly trends should look come Thursday:
Well...we might have missed this unique August 2 day window as today and Tuesday will have somewhat unusual dry air sitting over us with a low chance of showers on either day. By Wed, more normal summer weather patterns will enter back in our area but with lower high temps than normal (so that is a good thing).
Wed: High of 90...Humidity around 87 at night. 50% chance of scattered thunder storms in the afternoon/early evening.
Thur Tailgating: Partly to mostly cloudy with a chance of thunderstorms. High 91F. Winds E at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 40%.
Thur Night Game: Clearing skies with just a slight chance of rain (20%). Temps should be in the mid-upper 80s at kickoff with game time temps dropping to the low 80s by the 2nd half. Comfortable 5-10 mph ESE breeze...which can be felt the most in the higher rows of the stadium.
As with any Aug/Sept/Oct game...I'd still classify it as a "pocket poncho" game...just in case as you don't won't to be a wuss and head undercover because you didn't put a pocket poncho in your back pocket.
