Flint Michigan Water soon to be here

Wow, this article is so bad.

The real story with Flint's water. They changed water source to the Flint River. Some very bad engineers must have been in charge of this project, because the pH in the flint river is low and the water distribution system contained lead pipes. Low pH + metal = corrosion and now there is lead in the water. They needed to chemically passivate the water/pipes to prevent the corrosion.

That bad engineering was mainly caused from lack of oversight from the Michigan DEQ. Yes, there were mistakes made in Flint, but without adequate oversight, it could easily happen here to some other small and underfunded municipality.

Hey! I don't need facts brought into this discussion, I want to blame the political boogie man that I would blame no matter what happens! Stop blocking my freedom of speech!

As much as Snyder is guilty for taking 6 months to respond to the first issues in the crisis, a lot of this was in motion by others before he was even involved. I think people forget that. And there even far more Democratic leadership involved, including the authority who made the call (he is not a Republican).

Kinda reminds me of, what I call, "Katrina's Law" ... "Keep going higher until you find a Republican to blame." In the case of Louisiana, they had to go outside the state and blame the President.

BTW, the article lost my interest here ...

'emboldened by right-wing think tanks and foundations funded through the Koch Brothers oligarchy.'

The Koch Brothers are Libertarians, not right-wingers. Furthermore, the phrases of "environmental racism" and similar just absolutely make me close my ears.
