I'm a born and raised Florida Cracker so I don't understand. How do people from other states look at us? Are we like the southern Alaska? Are we on people's bucket lists? Are we are joke?

Hear people talking so much shit about how great NY or OH or whatever fûcking state you're not living in, if it was that fûcking great, you'd live there.
And typically it's those same assholes who give Florida the bad name by being assholes with a FL zip code.
Some of them seem to think we live in paradise and hang out on the beach all day. Others think we're crazy for living in a state that gets hurricanes.
I'll take hurricanes over the tornadoes in the Midwest. Any day.
As I tell people all the time who make fun of Florida, it's largely the riff raff and degenerates from other states that are the crazies. I swear there's a program like some law enforcement agencies have gotten in trouble for where they just give the nutjobs a one-way Greyhound bus ticket and send them down here.

The seasons are flipped though for enjoying the outdoors, I'd rather go to the beach from Halloween to Easter. The first time that the humidity breaks in late October is when FL is at its best

You cannot beat the weather down here from November to March. Highs ranging from 65 to 80 with low humidity and absolutely no goddamn snow.
I don't miss Orlando summer weather at all. Being able to experience all four season is also pretty cool I must say. However, I know I'm moving back in a few years, if anything, just because of traffic.

We're going to New Hampshire and Tennessee this fall. It'll be awesome with the Fall weather and the changing colors.
But, 2 months later when it's miserable and freezing in NH, I'll be enjoying the sunshine of Florida and 75 degree temps.
Overrated, especially when three of the four suck. Orlando summer is just as hot as most northern summers, and if you're at the beach with a breeze, it isn't bad at all.
Nah, Winter is shit, but Fall and Spring are awesome. And the humidity in Orlando is hellacious when compared to D.C. I've driven around with my windows down all summer here, I would never be able to do that in Orlando.
I've come to love the humidity. It's like a warm blanket giving me a hug. I go up north where it's 90+ and it's just stagnant air and oppressive. Fall is neat for about 2 weeks, same with spring, otherwise it's still drab grey and rainy and miserable. And those neat two weeks are the winter months in Orlando.
Main thing I don't miss about the humidity is getting out of the shower and sweating like a pig, while I'm still in the house!!!! Puerto Rico humidity ain't got shit on Florida. It's like Satan's panties there.
