Expect a lot of noon kick-off's with weak crowds. We should draw well for first two home games, but I wouldn't expect much after that.

It's amazing how so many care more about tv than experiencing something live. Not you are, but others do. I could careless if our home games are on tv bc I'll be there in person.

For those living out of town... it is more important. And national attention helps too...

I'll definitely be attending the FIU game!

especially w UCF's nice gameday tailgating setup. it's not a sterile drive in and out gamedays like USF or Temple

winning brings back national attention. Every game will be available on espn3 at worst

The only thing that I would have changed is switching UConn with ECU. However, da Bololz got screwed with their schedule.

Nice to see traditional Saturday football again. I'm hoping for as few 12:00 games as possible before mid-October.
Love those 6:00 PM games like vs. Temple (homecoming 2014).

Definitely will be going to FIU and after missing the Penn State game in 2013 and Ohio State Game in 2012, I will not miss my team play in the big house at Michigan. Was reading an article that said it's an experience of a lifetime to see ANY EVENT there. Who knows if UCF will EVER play there again. Could be decades. I'm not expecting a win, but I'll be there regardless.

As far as the USF game, Saturday makes the most sense, especially on the road.

No Thursday games! Might have to be back in on football season tix this year.
Yes, I know ... those horrendous sacrifices ones has to pay when you buy season tickets for 6-7 games, and have to miss 1 or 2 of them! Oh ... the horror! Oh ... the waste!

Seriously? Is this a joke or something?

Just so reminded me of the meme from a couple years back ...

I honestly hope the honeymoon with Frost doesn't end ... but I know too many of my fellow Knights. :(

ESPN3? Playing on something that is only available in the Internet is not national attention. And yes, obviously winning is key to getting national attention. But winning on platforms that people are actually seeing you win is what makes the difference. The year of the Fiesta Bowl, we had big wins like Louisville on Friday night on ESPN and on a national stage...

They need the picture to be streamed, pixelated and otherwise of poor quality.
Otherwise the reflections of our empty seats would blind the viewers watching in HD. ;)

MT @MarkHarlanUSF: Excited abt our 2016 FB schedule..to clarify...UCF game is LOCKED for Saturday, Nov 26th, will NOT be moved. So be there!

Some students and alumni are now complaining that they still won't attend the game...as Saturday, Nov 26th, many will be at or watching the FSU vs UF Game on the same day.*

Maybe I bring a different perspective. Being out of state UCF has a reputation of being the "kings of Thursday night football" around here. Many people have watched UCF on ESPN on Thursdays and have commented on the games which had they been on Saturday would not have seen. They would have been watching UGA or GA Tech. or most any other game. I know they are difficult on the ticket holders, but those games have significantly raised the UCF brand nationally. The exposure was good.

Having Saturday games and building support from the local community is more important than getting 'exposure' on national TV to people who don't give a crap about UCF. Sorry to those UCF fans who live out of state but they need to take one for the team and realize that UCF will never become as popular as UF/FSU are in their home towns without this.

Also the fact that the FIU game is on a Saturday will help us bring a large crowd to Miami.

^ Especially with Frost recruiting so close to home now.
Damn! I need another box of popcorn already! Might as well go gourmet this time.

Never said it was better to have on Thursday, but I think you discount the importance of the national exposure. UCF will only become as popular as UF/FSU when enough time has passed to level the playing field in terms of graduates and history. Being on TV exposes more people to the brand and creates fans where you might not otherwise have them. People in Orlando are going to be fans no matter what because most of them attended UCF. I think it is great that we have Saturday games. But if we are only marketing to local UCF fans we are not getting as much bang for the buck. Our program is not the place where we can compete for attention on Saturdays.

Also those Thursday night games are not for the convenience of the out of state fans. They are so UCF can get exposure to new markets an new fans.

Build the community support with Saturday games (this year and next) and then when we get good, go back to Thursday night games. You don't want to lose on tv. The key right now is to develop game day tradition which was lacking by the previous coaching staff.

I like the idea of game day traditions. What specifically is needed or lacking?

Who really makes traditions? Students, fans, marketing depts.?

Maybe the guy that told us we needed an On-Campus Stadium (OCS) and the campus experience to build a Top 10 team, and not hope to be a Top 25 in the Citrus Dump? I don't know ...

I also think that in the G5 you are not asked to be on Thursday nights unless you are winning. So I see the lack of Thursday games as potentially as a lack of popularity because of the 0-12 season. We are not marketable right now.

Between this and the Texan in the Big 12 thread, there is some serious competition going on right now ...

I agree! Butt Danny White I believe will also do a good job marketing us and taking the program to the next level.
