Free Agent Releases

They need warm body's that at least have a clue and some athleticism for the rookie mini camps, they never have any intention of signing most of them. But it is a chance for them to look and see. I know this because I was one twice after college. I personally am surprised they cut Reese so quick. Not so much Ozerities, he is a very average or below average corner.

Ozerities made alot of crucial plays...he still may get picked up before camp...but I'm guessing the agents for the newly signed players were playing hardball...Once the agents dropped the price to get them, the teams pounced on them.

This time of year the rosters are like the rummy tiles game. Teams are constantly changing
the hand they hold. The two players let go had the longest shots of making it.

I'm amazed how they will sign players and release them the next day. They basically
get paid like a day laborer but up to approx. $1000 per practice. The teams are constantly
discarding their tiles and picking up new ones until final roster of 53. (and it continues with
the practice squads once the season starts...a real crap shoot for the players)
