6% of death certificates have listed only Covid as the cause of death
94% list other comorbidities.
It will be interesting when the 94% are broken down to see what the most prevalent ones are.
Very interesting. Now please provide a link
You dont think statisticians know how to account for a variable like age+1 year over year? The total deaths number is rising because of the aging population.
I tried finding the actual info on what the comorb are and couldnt find it. He cut off all the interesting parts and just left us with generic age data.
If you go to the CDC table he referenced it lists all of the comorbidities, including suicide and accidental death.I tried finding the actual info on what the comorb are and couldnt find it. He cut off all the interesting parts and just left us with generic age data.
The CDC considers obesity a comorb so thats like 50% of the population there. Not sure where he got that visualization but ive had no luck.
Apparently we won't know that for a while, maybe 2 years, based on how the CDC collects and interprets data.Im more interested in how many more deaths we have than in a normal year.
Obesity was only listed on 5160 death certificates. Thats surprising
Yeah, I suppose that's probably right. I guess most nursing home patients aren't obese as well and that's a pretty good chunk of the total deaths. It is and it isn't. Some people are visibly obese. Others aren't as much or might be in a high BMI category that is unhealthy for their height and weight, but not necessarily as apparent.
Talked to a doctor friend of mine about this. He said they don't use BMI standards on death certificates, its a judgment call but is rarely cited. It is and it isn't. Some people are visibly obese. Others aren't as much or might be in a high BMI category that is unhealthy for their height and weight, but not necessarily as apparent.
