Any other job but neb and he probably would have stayed. Infact it shows how loyal he is that he would leave orlando to live in lincoln to coach his home state school... Turn down gators, turn dowm fsu, despite all their advantages. He never planned for his dream job to open up this early.

Also, sorry but bowl games arent part of the season and no coach that is hired elsewhere EVER EVER EVER sticks around to coach one. (how do you not know this?)

Frost has handled this very well... doing his best to keep the team focusd on the conference championship they are about to be playing.

A (sooner) friend of mine recently asked why frost hasnt just already got the eff out of there and hit the recuiting trail for neb yet. My reply was that if frost were the type of guy to abandon his team facing a conference championship, then he would never have been the type of guy the huskers wanted in the first place.

Staying for the conference championship isnt shady or low by frost... it's the exact opposite.

It’s not that he’s leaving for Nebraska, it’s how it all went down. You can’t speak with forked tongue and blow hot and cold. Once upon a time a word was your bond, those days in Nebraska were when I respected the Huskies. He can’t leave fast enough.*

I think his intentions were good, but at the first opportunity to bolt, he did. Having said that, loyalty is when you stick with something when the desire to do something different is strong. He signed a contract extension in May that would keep here until 2021. Six month later he bolts. Spare me all the alma mater crap, that is the definition of disloyal. Based on his assertions over the last few weeks, if (when) he leaves he also may have an issue with telling the truth.

Like 10 hours until no more Huskers...

Hah! Now that's funny.

Honestly though, I haven't really minded them on the board. They have their standard allotment of douche rocket fans and that's to be expected; but I know how to scroll faster than they can type. For every cornskull that has posted nonsense, I'm sure there have been 20+ actual alumni saying to themselves: "Yup, that must be the tool I saw accelerating to the red light yesterday."

No ill-will toward Frost, just the system and those who propagate or glean a sense of entitlement from it.

I appreciate all he has done in his two short years here, but to say Frost has handled this past week well is delusional. Apparently he has no buddies that can keep a secret, as there has been so many leaks this past week it's been hard to keep up. A lot of the rumors may be just that, but seemingly too many truths have gotten out there way too soon. He's been a great leader for this team for two years, but he and your Nebraska administration (speaking of poor handling of the situation) has bungled a whole lot of goodwill in just 5 days. Hopefully a lesson learned for Frost in the future if he's ever in this position again.

You want to know who is truly handling this well? Super stud AD Danny White. Absolutely no leaks on our coaching search (which has to have already had a lot of activity behind the scenes), and I bet we announce a new coach within 48 hours of Frost bailing on us. That's a true leader and Nebraska's AD should learn from him when he's conducting his next coaching search in 3 years

Yes, he is being EXTREMELY disloyal......I have a low opinion of men who don't FINISH what they start. You think Tom Herman didn't have offers as UH qualified for the Peach Bowl?

A dozen P5 jobs open every year and neb opens every 3-4 years. Yet he can't be bothered to FINISH anything before sticking a knife in our program's back.

Someone was going to felt slighted in this situation and it turns out he will leave for his dream job and all you "fans" are all pissed off? Wow! I think he has handled this with class and has never come out and said he is leaving so the players can stay focused, even though he most likely has already spoken to them. If you all are as hateful as you sound then boycott this game and don't go! I have no doubt you will boo him if they lose today. I actually feel sorry for the "fans" on this board. Let's see how classy, or classless you are today but know that Scott could have left for NU before this game but he is more of a man than all of you here! That's a man with Nebraska morals! OUT!

I agree with what you're saying, but at 11-0 with a lot of returning players, it's hard to feel like anyone is screwing us

It's like getting dumped by a girlfriend because you didn't have a good job.

I'll get a better job and drive by her house in a Ferrari with a hot blonde and beep the horn. It may take awhile. Usually what happens is that you don't even bother

This is funny. If he had chosen to stay at UCF those reporters camped out on Frost's parents house would have dropped their mics and started chucking rocks through the windows while Husker fans stood in line to light mattresses on fire in the front yard.

And spare me the "he's going home" and "it's his dream job." I'm sure his current players aren't thinking to themselves "our coach is abandoning us, but at least he it's for his dream job!!!"

It just reminds me of what Erickson 2006 stint in Idaho. Frost wanted to build something special, Erickson promised Idaho as his last job- he left after 1 year, and sorry, but 1 year undefeated is not building anything. It's only a start. So yes, if he leaves, he lied, he's disloyal and I hope he never has another success for the rest of his life. I'll hate him intensely, that is until we win our 1st game next year and then I'll forget he exists. He'll go down in the category of "whatever happened to ....." Plus, a good year next year means he really had little to do with this year and is interchangeable.

I saw Nebraska morals yesterday, with that tweet to Otis' mother. That's real Nebraska morals.

If he's leaving......

So big deal, Frost stayed to coach a game he no longer gives a damn about. Do us no favors. He's staying for this game to pad his resume, that is all.

Wow. You guys are tough. Can't really blame you, however I'll handle it by watching EVERY Nebraska game next year.

I'll be watching 2 games a week. Cheering for UCF and the opponent of Nebraska. I don't have to wish him well

I would love to see SF say he is staying today, and see how magnanimous these shuckers would be. then.

I was all about supporting CSF on his move until the knight walk today. Wearing a red shirt is classless and a slap to the players that are around him.

Jeez, I was all for wishing him well, but this is almost as bad as if he just took the job and left us hanging for the CCG.
They better win today, otherwise f*** him.

It was a phone call. There was no van outside his parent's house that is in a gated community. Lol
That Orlando reporter was lying.

It was one fan not the million that live here.

I'm pretty sure White would rather have Frost coach today and not the interim.

To say frost is leaving at the 'first chance' is misleading. Hes only leaving at the first chance because it is his alma mater. If neb wasmt available and the gators and noles and whoever else had come callin, I guarantee he would have stayed with UCF. Its just unfortunate timing. This isnt a guy that would have bolted to go to any p5 team.

They know he isn’t disloyal. It’s just a tough emotional time. UCF is on a huge upswing and the foundation is has been built. They are ready for the big time. I’m excited for UCF.
