So we understand FSU has decided to settle with the alleged rape victim and attorney with amount of $950K, $250K to the woman and $700K for attorney fees. So I ask the question, who pays for this? Does this come from a bucket of money paid by the state tax payers or will this come directly from FSU private booster funds?
Although different cases, I know the Plancher payout was paid by the UCFAA insurance fund which is maintained using UCF private funds of donation/booster. I'm going to be pissed if FSU somehow dips into state tax payer reserves when they continuously fail, regardless of leadership, to control their athletes and teach them to avoid high-visibility yet vulnerable situations.
