At least Florida is normal but GA, MISS and NC? C'mon.

All that proves is that those states care about spelling words correctly. Florida just doesn't care. "Me want meth," gets the job done.

This is a flawed study. Plus I see half of it is BS already.

Does it account for people where English is their second language?
Does it account for people that moved to the States and use classic English (Canada, England, etc): Note the border states in the north, can tell this is skewed already, many words ending in "ia" or "a" are spelled differently in classic English (often -ea is used interchangeably). So are many biological terms.

Blew that study open in 5 minutes.

I'm a terrible speller and I get a bunch of these. "Beautiful" is a rare word with 3 different vowels in a row. Vacuum and tomorrow (which letter is doubled?). The ones that are english vs american spelling. But people? Do they type 'peeple' and think, "hmmm... that doesn't look right?" Nanny? What is the alternate spelling?

I could tell the south was full of idiots just by reading the posts of Bob and BT.
