UCF is going to mash some folks in the Big 12 this year. The Knights set the school record for rushing yards in a game in the season-opener.

UCF leads the nation in rushing yards with over 75 rushing yards more than No. 2 Army and on 2 fewer attempts than the Black Knights.

For perspective, UCF ran 54 times for 251 yards and four rushing touchdowns against Villanova in 2023. The Knights ran for 203 yards more (454 yards) on the same number of carriers with four different running backs scoring touchdowns against New Hampshire on Saturday.

Threw for 349 yards with Timmy and Rizk. If they can go 10-2 running mostly there won’t be too many complaints. They won’t go 10-2 if passing game doesn’t evolve.

There a reason why you ignore Kent State game where the running game last year ran at a higher average per carry and had 5 seperate players with rushing tds.

It was New Hampshire man! We'll learn more about the O this Saturday against a better opponent and a lot more the following Sat against TCU. But, right now, we should be very concerned about our passing game and QB play....it was unacceptable against.....New Hampshire man!

UCF’s OL is mediocre at best but good enough to open up holes against an FCS team. The question is why did Gus Malzone keep padding stats by running the ball and running up the score? Why not pass and work on the passing game? Because he likes to run up numbers for optics and hype…that’s why. Getting the team ready for a real game? Not very high on his to do list.

It's obvious that we're going to be a running team this season so giving all of the RB's some touches wasn't a bad idea. And throwing the ball when you're up by 30+ points is not cool....but this week is really important to show progress on the passing game. We'll see...

Yeah, that's not going to work when they stack the box and we have a QB that can't throw it downfield and make them pay. Teams are going to obviously plan for Gus's high school offense.

Gus the genius told KJ to throw bad balls all game just so future game opponents think all they have to do is stack the box.

He knows people look at stats and game film.

Hate the game, not the player.

Go Knights!

Even if you ignore everything I wrote, you have to realize UCF rushed 203 more yards on the same number of carriers.

203 more yards!

It wasn't a "Davidson - San Diego-caliber" performance, but it was still pretty impressive.
