10/20/2022 ECU Edition:
Let's recap the Space Game versus Temple...
Julian and I both got the defense right. Julian predicted 56-3 and I predicted 49-17. I was closer this time!!!
I KNEW the offense would get better after watching SMU, but holy sh!t...
While things may start slow against ECU, I think things gel again...UCF now leads the conference in both total Offense and Defense now.

ECU Fun-Facts:
At the start of every football game, a canon is fired to symbolize the beginning of a battle. This began in 1967, and in 1984 the staff decided to fire a canon every time a player scored to boost crowd morale. This has become a large tradition at ECU, making the teams entrance and all quarters of the game very interesting and unique.
East Carolina University's slogan is "no quarter".This was drafted because if pirate ships would refuse to surrender, they would lower the Jolly Roger flag and raise a no quarter flag, meaning they would offer no mercy. At every football game, during the third quarter this flag is raised.Beginning in 2017, the pirates had a large no quarter flag that covered the entire Boneyard raised by students.

Players to watch for ECU:
Holton Ahlers - 6'4" 240 pounds, QB. It what seems to be his 12th year, Holton is 3rd in passing in AAC.
Keaton Mitchell - 5'9" 184 pounds, RB. Leads conference...
Isaiah Winstead - 6'4" 213 pounds, WR. 3rd in conference for recieving. Transfer from Toledo.
***Onto the REAL Beef*** (or Street Tacos. That's it...Street Tacos.)
Weather forecast at 7:30PM Eastern kickoff:
Sunset: 6:25pm
Temp: 60F
Chance of rain: 10%
TV: ESPNU
I ran 12 CPU simulations for a good math spread. I think the offense is going to be more in tune, this may be close for first half, with UCF pulling away in the second half. I know ECU has a good record, Holton Ahlers is STILL there. I fully believe UCF wins this one by a couple scores.
Average of 12 simulation results:
UCF 51
ECU 31
Sim Avg Spread:
UCF -20 (Vegas: UCF -4.5 9:20 10/20/22)
"Heart" Prediction:
The defense is stout, and ranked among the best. I think the offense is going to continue being better.
UCF 42
ECU 28
"Heart" spread:
CENTRAL FLORIDA: -14 (Vegas be damned)
My friend's son Julian's prediction:
UCF 31
ECU 14
Julian's line of doom: UCF -17 (He's not old enough for Vegas, sorry)
