The 69 year old was very positive reflecting back on his time at UCF. He said it was time to move on. "Everyone knew I was retiring after this season," said O'Leary. "I didn't want to go out as a lame duck coach."
O'Leary got emotional when asked about what he was most proud of, mentioning his stellar graduation rate and saying he enjoyed when his former players came back for a visit ten years later, were successful, and said 'thank you.'
