Clearly you need to post less, listen more and go to practices

There is nothing prideful be being wrong or ignorant

1. Don't try to bully me into posting less.

2. Who goes to the practices of both teams? do you have magic 50 hour days?

3. I am not ignorant UF had the personal to run every down and beat UCF. They just didnt execute those plays. So i was wrong. I am owning that.

STFU is not a great argument btw. He had one good pass, play of the game in fact. Other than that, very hard to watch as per usual. Our defense and RBs along with Okeefe won that game, not the qb. It’s a fantastic win, but don’t be dumb about it.

What was so awful about him?
Respectfully, you cannot be serious.
In one drive it was enough to fill this thread.
-Did you miss the wide open flea flicker for a TD that he completely missed?
-Did you miss the subsequent pass play that he overthrew again
-Did you then miss the run to the left where his helmet could not separate from the grass while alone and his legs were pumping?

Look, I despise the countless Mikey stinks threads as I think the kid can and will improve. But posts like yours of “what was so awful” may just be worse. Cmon man.

Uh…………that helmet grass thing……………..that was Navarro.

Agree with this. I haven’t seen the point of trashing a freshman QB when we don’t have anyone better on the roster, but we don’t need to pretend that he’s not bad at this point.

Somehow he was worse than Emory Jones. I still think Keene can improve, but I was impressed with the play calling to work around how bad he was.

Yeah it was… Heupel sure did recruit some studs at qb
🤣🤣🤣 I could not tell from my seats. The stadium announcer was atrocious.
Ok, delete the bullet and insert any other play. My general point still stands. 👍

1. Cleary you don't know who you're talking to. 2018 Soundoff Poster of the year.
2. Just go UCF practices, like how I have for years.
3. Clearly you're doubling down on the UCFoolish myth about better players. No real UCFan should be perpetuating that stupidity that UCFootball constantly has to dispel.

Again there is no grandeur in being wrong. If you're wrong or don't know, listen and keep your mouth shut. Or better yet ask questions those who do know. The very worst thing any UCFan can do is perputate myths and lies that has held UCF back. Those include:
1. P5 / G5 quality myth vs measuring individual teams. Vanderbilt vs SDSU stuff.
2. Bias rankings both in the Top 25 and Recruiting rankings.
3. The mathematical ignorance and stupidity of SOS.
4. Overall development from 18 year old kids to upperclassmen

If you or any of your UCFriends have any doubts about these UCFacts, ask me. I have been posting about these topics for over a decade.

Agreed, I was wrong as well, wasn’t feeling good about this game. But I was right about Keene, just awful…

Stop being a terrible UCFan.

Mikey is a UCFreshman. And has played super well as a UCFreshman. UCFans should be used to this by now.

Maybe you could at least look at the UCFacts. How about Mikey vs UCF legend Mckenzie Milton's UCFreshman year...

See you were probably the loser UCFan that said KZ was awful. Get your head out of your ass.

I didn't miss a thing. Considering he's a Freshman and the pressure from their defense the three bad plays you mention don't seem so bad and if you don't like my posts don't read them or block them. Cmon man.

Sensitive, huh? Someone disagrees with you and you go down the whole “block me if you don’t like my posts”?
For my own edification, explain something to me: If someone disagrees with a post, instead of posting their counter opinion they should block or cancel the post they don’t like versus having a back and forth discussion? Interesting. I wonder how a message board would look like under your rules?

No, not sensitive. I asked a simple and legitimate question of someone who made the blanket statement that Keene was awful. It sounded to me that you thought my posts were awful and that prompted my response of don't read them or block them.

Cut the kid some slack. He is only a 18 old freshman thrown to the wolves and did enough to beat UF. If he puts on more weight and muscle and continues to practice hard who knows what he can develope into. That is what training camp is for. Time will tell but now is not the time.

Did Keene look great? No. But he didn't panic and did enough to win. He didn't fumble or throw an interception and managed the game well enough to put his team in a position to win. His arm looks weak but that can be improved. Next training camp will tell if he improved in arm strength, size and accuracy. As for this season he was enough to get us to the Gasparillo Bowl and help get us the win. I think he won 6 out of his last 7 games and for a 18 yr old freshman that is pretty good...just not great. Just remember how many fans derided KZ in his freshman season. I wish him well in the QB competition next season. Should be fun to watch who wins the starting role.

Fair enough. I want to like the kid. I’m hopeful he can grow but worry at the same time with what I see on the field. I wish I could see more than a small handful of plays to give me hope… “Not screwing up” isn’t enough for me.

He seems like a good kid and works hard so I hope he can take his game to a higher level. With Castellanos on the roster the battle should make everyone better...hopefully.

I think we can all agree that he’s a good kid, although who really knows him personally? Yes, he’s been serviceable, although you can’t say he’s “won us” any games but I guess he hasn’t lost us any either, which is some of your points.

He’s not a D1 QB1, at least we shouldn’t think he is for the future of college football that is UCF. That’s all anybody that has shown concern of results and talent is saying, it really shouldn’t be up for any additional debate. The KZ to Keene comparison is terrible btw, blatantly disrespectful to KZ. Apples and oranges.

KZ made some plays his freshman year that gave me hope. He made several a game. But his OL was very, very bad (that is how I remember it). None of those guys would have been on the 2 deep for the OL on this year's team. KZ would also run backwards and lose a bunch of yards when they got to him, effectively killing drives, but I could chalk it up to being a freshman and playing behind a bad OL. Even when MK has time, most of his throws are a bit off target. Hopefully that is something that can be improved upon with fundamentals, footwork and the weight room. I am hoping for the best for the young man, but I honestly believe unless a really good QB transfers in, TC will be the starter by no later than week 3 next year.

You're so wrong at this. My bet is you just started following UCFootball.

I clearly laid out the stats. You have not offered data or anything other than your childish conjecture.

But give us all a laugh. Why is Keene to KZ freshman year comparison "terrible" and "disrespectful?"

Try to use your Big boy words with this explanation

Arm strength isn’t really improved much. It’s developed from youth until now and even then it’s a God given talent. Weight training doesn’t add much MPH to football. MK has to be a fast decision maker and then extend plays if play breaks down. He is similar to KZ as a Freshman as both were small and not great arms. He has to learn how to overcome his deficiencies like KZ did, not try to be Jeff George. Cards are stacked against him with genetics. We’ll see if he can adjust to it.

Same here. Pleasantly surprised at the way the team played, especially from the second quarter on. That first quarter, though, was a mess for both teams; it was like trying to watch two 3-legged elephants make a porno while being directed by Jose Feliciano.

While not every recruit ends up working out, I don’t think Heupel would recruit a QB he doesn’t think can run his prolific offense and have the arm strength to make the required throws… I’ll take Heupel’s evaluation of QB talent over the many internet jockeys who have a 50/50 chance of guessing correctly on QB ability after 5 months…hey, but everyone is entitled to guessing and bashing on players based on their uniformed and flawed opinion..some of y’all have inspired me to even buy a lottery ticket tonight…maybe I’ll guess right..

Ha…yeah…because
did Milton help? Yes…but if you think Gabriel came here to hang out with Milton and not play for the coach he felt gave him the best shot at making it to the next level, well…there’s no logical argument to change your mind…he didn’t come to UCF to be Milton’s boy…Heupel and his offense was the main reason…Milton..a nice aside

Heupel almost screwed up his recruitment ..he gray shirt offered him then a week later he visits Georgia and is offered by them. Milton is the reason he commited to UCF and there is plenty out there that showed that Milton was lobbying Heupel to even be interested

While I understand the excitement of new UCFans. But I get seriously annoyed when noobs shout out claims, especially critical claims that someone isn't good enough. 12 D1 universities and their coaches meaning several at each school thought Keene was good enough. Which is why they offered him a scholarship.

Then the player has to go through Spring Camp and Fall camp and prove they are good enough. And this HS kid is competing against men who have been in college programs training, gyms and with nutritionists for years.

Then they have to prove it on the field. It's tough for coaches who make 100s of ks to millions to stand behind someone who could cost the em their job and $$$s especially after losses. It's much easier to scapegoat an 18 year old kid.

It's clear this poster didn't UCFactor any of those realities in before making this post.

In the press conference I did hear him say he will put on a lot of weight during the off season. I hope he can put a solid 15-20lbs of muscle, would help him tremendously. I don't see why he couldn't do this. I think he knows he will be fighting for his job next year. I am rooting for him and TC. Whoever is the best. Pending any major setbacks for Keene duing off season, I expect Keene will be QB1 since TC will be a young freshie and would benefit him to sit and watch for a bit.

Why didn’t he work out in high school? Why not in the 5 months he’s been here already? First day he stepped on campus they should have had him working out 5 days a week.
