Go Cougars...early taking it to loserville so far...

Houston's Ed Oliver is a beast and he's only a True Freshman.

He was a 5 Star, Recruiting matters

This helps the rankings of all the teams in the AAC. Heck, we should have beaten Houston at their place.

Not sure why I keep hearing this. They destroyed us in the second half. We shouldn't have beaten them. We were just ahead 24-3.

Now please. We had zero offense in the second half of 4 straight games, including Houston. The only difference was that UCF's defense didn't bail us out against Houston (or Temple). Has nothing to do with Houston being any better than those other three opponents. Anyway, the better Houston does tonight, the better our rankings will be.

Houston should be undefeated. They are superior to every team that they have played and seem to be able to turn it on anytime that they want. They fell asleep against SMU, us in the first half, and even Navy to a degree. They had defensive injuries and didn't prepare well for the triple option

How will this affect Louisville QB's "all but assured" Heisman? All those TDs ain't worth a whole lot when they don't get you to a major bowl.

Yes, we had zero offense and the defense wore down. Therefore, they steamrolled us in the second half. I was there and the defense was hot and gassed. That's clearly a scenario that we can't say "should have won."

Saying that is saying that Loiisville should have beaten us in 2013. The cream rises to the top and a game is 60 minutes.

We should have beaten Temple and be 7-3, because that was a miracle and bad coaching

He's clearly lost votes. May not even be the frontrunner. Too bad Washington lost too

Now.., Tom Herman is very likely gone

Louisville did have us beat late in the game, and the packed house was hooting up a storm. UCF wasn't more talented perhaps. They just wanted it more and Louisville believed their own hype too much. Sweetest win ever, including the Fiesta Bowl (perhaps because it was hated Louisville).

I believe that was the best win in UCF history even though the Fiesta Bowl came with more accolades. That Louisvile team was headed to the top of the BCS.

I said this weeks ago and i've proven to be right. Houston's had little chance of dropping back to back games especially at home. I don't care if we were up 24-3. This team is too good to drop 3 of 4 and two straight.
Two top five wins now too? They need to return to the Top 15 at least. If SMU beats the Cows this weekend, that loss won't be as bad since they'll be bowl eligible. Of course it would help us a little if the Cows and Temple lose this weekend too.

The American has eight victories against P5 teams and Notre Dame. Thats one less than last year. Sure the Mountain West has the Top 25 teams in each division this year, but we can claim victories over the P5 from the top to the bottom. I hope we can get a win over Maryland or Georgia Tech next year.

Exactly. So.., we were ahead 24-3? Great teams can erase that deficit in less than a quarter. We didn't deserve to win.

I must say, that Houston's in stadium experience has to be one of the most pleasant that I've ever been to.

Great views, drinks, food, water stations, new, restrooms, etc.

It's a must for those fans who like to attend away games.

A blowout here should make the conference look strong :sunglasses:
Sadly it won't. The reality is, top to bottom, the AAC this year is tougher than the ACC and Big12. But Oklahoma, at 8-2, will be ranked ahead of Houston at 8-2, because of "strength or schedule".

This was the greatest ever year of the running QB who could also pass for big numbers. Yet last night the two QBs were totally shut down: 40 combined rushing attempts for less than 1.5 yds/carry! Houston's soon to be ex-coach (which top P-5 team is gonna grab him first?) said postgame that he wasn't going to let Louisville's QB wait for all his receivers to be covered and then take off running; they were going to bring the house! That's what Milton and UCF saw, and it's not fun.

Also Western Michigan will get a new years six bowl because they play absolutely nobody and will win the conference. Pretty sure you have to be a champ to make an access bowl as a "group of 5".

Yes, you do have to be your conference champ to get the G5 Access Bowl spot. If you ask me, Navy has really been screwed in the rankings this year. Only lost two games and not currently ranked in CFP rankings, and four teams are ahead of them in the "others receiving votes" category in the AP Poll.

Gotta hope that somehow W Michigan stumbles and Navy can win the AAC. Not as worried about Boise as they may not even win their division with their one loss to a division rival.

I don't understand how the conference champ provision is in for the G5 Access Bowl spot, but not for the playoff spots. It really boggles my mind that it's very possible Penn State wins the Big10, but Michigan and Ohio State both get playoff spots instead.

Houston is not getting me again. I bought into them before after a big win and they pooped the bed. Not again. They are who they are. And they are good, not very good.
Lets just for expansion sake, i'm fine with them losing those two games (even though it probably had little to do with it).
