Can we start construction on the statue this week please? It is undeniable what GOL has brought to our program!

Don't forget the 3 straight TDs the UCF defense surrendered before the Hail Mary pass two years ago.

When he starts putting hardware in the trophy case it can mean something. It is impressive how we look so far. When we can find a QB that fits our system and gets some experience....look out. Our defense and run game are legit. Why are you obsessed with GOL anyways? Post after post. You might have some kind of mental issue like people who cut themselves to feel better. You're fixated and can't mo e on. If you haven't noticed, we got a new coach and have moved on.

The reason our defense is as good as it is is because of GOL. He recruited all of those players except Trysten Hill.

Say whatever you like about his offensive shortcomings but our defense is solid because of him. It was solid throughout his tenure.

Psychopath can't ever even analyze a game and win. Sitting in his basement alone obsessing over a past coach that most of us don't even care about anymore. Who's thinking about GOL during or after this game??

Imagine what this is going to look like when we have OL that have been recruited for this system and have a couple of years under their belt. This team is far beyond where I thought we would be after the spring game. I honestly believe we have a shot at a division title. Probably won't happen, but we could be in the mix by seasons end. The team seems to be getting a little better each week. I don't think we will be ready for a Houston caliber team by the time we play them, but by the end of the season, who knows.
It's easy to bash GOL for last season. But give the man credit, he made all of this possible. Most of the players that are making it happen this year were recruited by GOL. He did a lot for the school, so let it go and move on.

Absolutely agree, I think Frost is a better head coach for this era of football but O'Leary was great in his own way and we all know it.

I remember being in the stands against Ohio in 2004 and watching Matt POS Prater (later choked by bmarsh) miss a game tying PAT and wonder if we would ever win again...

Once the team is full of his guys, it's going to be amazing.

PS I'm really hoping for the same result when we beat the high flying ranked Houston years ago. (tho that year Houston had no defense- good on take-aways, but bad on everything else defensively). It's not the same Houston.

I hope the statue has built in taps. I know GOL is Miller Light, but still.

I cannot believe we won today's game. Frost and the players willed us to an impressive win at a very difficult venue. Their defense forced us off the field over and over again and their talent on offense was truly impressive. The hitting was taking its toll to players on both sides and neither team was willing to surrender. It wasn't at all pretty, but I'm proud of them.

I agree that they are GOL players.....but now they are the product of Scott frost psychologically! :)

Even thought we received a targeting call, those ECU players were hurried and worried about our defensive players! No doubt that the UCF defense hits hard! Tackling in the secondary needs work

Remember that ECU barely lost to S. Carolina, beat NCSt., and almost matched the total offense of VaTech. I'm sure they took us too lightly. I would have if I were in their position.

And he went 0-12 with those same players. Pathetic at any level. No one can prove UCF would not have done better with another coach...especially after NCAA sanctions and E. Planchards death. Anyway it is over with and we have a new coach...move on.ucf.

So nobody can prove what never happened? Nice argument there. Cant argue with that.

how about this: Nobody can prove that UCF would have done better with another coach. Same argument. Same ridiculous logic

The tackling in the secondary always seems to need work the last 2-3 years despite it being one of our most heavily recruited areas. I've never been a big fan of Drico Johnson. He's a converted WR and is overrated IMO.
Griffin is a great athlete, but is prone to a lot of mental mistakes.

The whole post is ridiculous, because there are way too many variables.
