Just listened to GOL's interview with Marc. Some key points:
-As he alluded to in his Wednesday post-practice interview, GOL is not a fan of inter-squad spring games. He wants to scrimmage another team, and says it would be easy to do with seven FBS teams in Florida. He says you would do it on a home-and-home basis. GOL plans to bring it up at the "spring meetings" which I guess mean the AAC meetings.
-Asked about Justin Holman's improvement, GOL said, "He lost the Nolan Ryan fastball."
-Marc asked about the questions at WR and DB. GOL noted Tre'Quan Smith should be really good and also mentioned Jordan Akins and Taylor Oldham, saying a couple others caught his eye at times. But he said it's a given the true freshmen will contribute there.
At DB, GOL mentioned he liked Chris Williams' athleticism and said Kyle Gibson showed promise. He sounded pleased with Jordan Franks, saying he's an athlete and he has to get on the field.
-Marc also asked about the frustration with non-conference scheduling and teams refusing to sign contracts (sounds like maybe something recently happened, again). GOL agreed, saying how it's a testament to the fanbase because Bright House is such a tough place to play, etc.
