GOL comments they're trying to get kids back on the field and "thankfully we're getting a couple more back this week."
On Tulane:
"It was 10-7, we catch a ball for 62 yards and he gets stripped. Then it was a 14-point differential. A lot of things are youth, but you gotta look is he good enough or are we coaching good enough? Dealing with a rash of injuries because kids don't know how to tackle. They tackle with their hands and shoulders, same with receiver corps, they've got to run through catches so they don't take the full brunt of a hit."
More on the strip/fumble:
"Put the ball away. Again, he's a walk-on. People say he can't run, but you're dealt with what you have. I wish one of the freshmen caught the pass or it would've been a touchdown. I'm so tired of talking about it, coaches and players. Some of it is new and young, but some is experienced, like defensive lineman taking penalties. That's not what we're about."
On injuries:
"One time during the game we didn't have four wide. We had three go out hurt. Football is a contact sport. Some guys have to understand they've got to line up and play."
Message at halftime:
"If they don't score again we win this game . That's what was said. I was upset with the mistakes out there, more so on defense. You can't give up points like that. It was our own doing. When you look at four games, I thought we've had an opportunity to be in, it was our own doing that caused the problem, not the other team. Turnovers and missed tackles. We're just young in certain areas and the speed of the game is getting to them."
On the sacks in the third quarter:
"Seven sacks in the game and three should have been avoided. It was all on one guy. You can't turn it over five times, two fumbles and three picks, especially where they got the ball."
On the late scoring with Tyler Harris at QB:
"He was the one guy I was really happy with. I've been on him all season to get rid of the ball. He did on time. Obviously has great arm strength. I thought he got rid of it on time. He had one he shouldn't have had a sack, but he threw with the velocity he has and to the right person."
On the tempo late in the game:
"You do that, but then you get a tackle for loss that puts you behind. Got to get them huddled up, calm them down. I think the QBs played better. Bo has to get rid of the ball and not take sacks. Three he didn't see coming, but the other three he should have gotten rid of it.
Commercial break.
