Everything Dennis Dobbs wrote during the first couple of paragraphs is the same thing i recalled too. The huggers - but mainly the GOL peddlers - wasted no time in trying to revisit those statements. If you research enough, you'll realize why a group of fans wanted to move on from GOL...from the disparity of pay between the last coach to GOL to the articles claiming that he wants to be as big as Wisconsin and Penn State.

..but then again its only an article from Dennis Dobbs..and GOL huggers will find an excuse to discredit him too.

Good article, shows the ups and downs. While the ups were awesome for your program that downs were bad such as this year. Don't worry, you will be back. B-12 is not going to expand based on just a record, they will want a specific value that they can sell to the other members. They will only do it if forced and that does not seem like it is happening anytime soon.

What article are you rambling on about? The one you linked to says in the first couple of paragraphs that he had an NFL background and was hired by a young program. Is this some kind of revelation? I guess Dodd thinks we opened BHNS in or around 2004? He also fails to mention that our post-season ban was overturned by the NCAA...great research! I do like that he points out a move to a P5 conference has little to do with football (e.g. rutgers and maryland going to the big 10). Now I don't think you can consistently suck and winning helps but it is just one of many factors.

When a future coach wins 4 conference titles and a bcs game (or something similiar) I'll put them on the same level. I, and I only speak for me, am not going to start making any comparisons about any new coach versus any old coach on day one. You start doing that years down the road. You have to let ghem be who they are and do things their way. I'll sticknto judging our play on the field. Anybody who dwells on bad seasons when you have so many good ones to hang your hat on can live that life of negativity....enjoy it.

Really, one of your main detractors is the fact that UCF paid him more than Kruczek? You had to do "research" to figure thst out? That's weak. He actually won games that matter. Now, GOL also had more opportunities but he did actually do something with a lot of that opportunity. Btw, our next coach, if he wins games and produces will most likely get paid more than GOL. That's the way big time sports work. Produce and you get paid. Next guy gets paid more, sometimes if they don't even produce as well.

Half the people on this board could have written that article so why am I, or anybody else, supposed to be impressed that this is an article by Dennis Dodd. He basically said over his tenure he had ups and downs. You can say that about CEO's, Presidents, parents, etc... just about any human being that is in a role where you have to lead and make decisions that effect others.

I was going to post it, but read it and realized it was the exact same article Dodd wrote at the beginning of the season when he was whining about O'Leary taking the AD job. Exact Same Article. He can't let O'Leary go. He loves to whine about him almost as much as those on here do. I'm betting Dodd cried Sunday when he realized he wouldn't be able to do his yearly "O'Leary's a murderer" piece. He'll have to go on to the other NCAA teams who "killed" a sickle-cell player.

Required reading for all the newbies and/or those that think Dodd knows much, if anything, about UCF.
