Good old Gus

Gus made some mistakes. However it's not his fault that our defense misses tackles throughout the second half and allows Baylor to prance all the way down the field so easily. Also Gus did not fumble the snap in the wildcat. There is a lot of blame to go around in this meltdown.

Yeah Gus didn’t put a running back in to handle the most important snap of the game. That was the other team who did that.

yes, the wild knight is dumb af but if it isn’t fumbled for a TD we win. I can’t stress enough that you don’t wild knight unless goal to go within the 2-3 yard line. We have dual threat QBs, let them run it ffs. Still, that’s not on the coaching staff, neither was the INT with no one in the area (2nd game in a row), or the multiple missed tackles by the defense. You guys are comical when it comes to critiquing while watching the lack of play execution vs blaming the coaches.

It is on the coach who Called the play to put the most important snap in the hands on a RB and not a QB. That’s the coaches decision on what play to call.

Dude said it’s not Gus fault the players he recruits and coaches , shit the bed. Whose fault is it? Holy Christ people are dumb.

I agree with the play call but disagree with the fact it probably works if not fumbled. It’s the execution and a knowledgeable fan would understand this.

This post is incoherent, or at least no one can understand what you are referencing. Maybe quote what you are talking next time?

Our defense is soft. Baylor routinely pounded the rock for 4-6 yds up the middle
As I said, KSU showed the blue print and the second half Baylor played to that blue print. We were exposed, so many missed tackles. But let’s blame the coaches for the blatant missed tackles and bad qb play. So on brand with our fan base.

Maybe we should have put in a different player. Harvey had a critical fumble last game. Also some fumbles late in big spots last year (Cincy, usf)

It’s both. Horrible defense and horrible coaching decisions.

so who is to blame for the missed tackles? the coaches recruit the players. if they inherited those players, they aren't forced to play them. if tackling is not something you can teach then you need to recruit players who already have the ability to tackle. if it is something you can teach then you clearly aren't teaching it. and all of this just keeps circling back to COACHING.

If the defense could stop anybody they wouldn't be on the field so much but yeah, I feel we went from what we were doing earlier, trying to win the game to ball control. Stupid.

You have your opinion and I’ll have mine. But bring my mother into this and I’m coming for you. It’s on.

This is on the coaching staff. Could have practically ran out the clock.
Clearly you show that mom got your attention as your realize it's not her fault when you screw up merely because she put you in the game. I agree with your decision to defend her despite her putting you on the field of life. No need to come for me, I am sure Mom is awesome. Just giving an example. Much respect.

It's hard to recruit power five level talent until you are in the power five. To blame the coach for the play of guys recruited before we were in the P5 is overreaching. Yes he needs to recruit better talent, but look at the incoming class commitments before saying that he is not addressing that need. We have massive upgrades in the pipeline for DBs and LBs. Sure I wish they were already here, but the reality is that it takes the P5 moniker along with a good recruiter and positive branding to get them here. We may not like it but it is a process.

so tackling is not something that can be taught. ok coaches off the hook until they can recruit players who have innate tackling skills.

All starters on the team know how to tackle. However, there is not a player in the world who has never missed a tackle. So it's not that they don't know how. They just did not execute what they know how to do.

Only Sith deal in absolutes people.

There's blame all around, again. It's not the play call alone. It's not RJ alone. It's not Timmy alone. It's not Mitch's pos punt alone. It's not special teams alone. It's f**king everyone. All three phases played a part in this loss, and all the coaches AND the players on those units have blame to bare.

This false dilemma fallacy bs you guys like to get into is flawed af. Snap out of it.
