I hope everyone’s ringing in 2025 with joy, health, and good company. For me, this New Year is extra special—I’m officially retired from the Army as of tomorrow after 32 years, 5 months, and 7 days of service. It’s been an incredible journey, spanning over 32 years as both an enlisted Soldier and an officer. Reflecting on my time in uniform, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for the countless people who’ve shaped my career. On top of that, my family and I are celebrating another huge blessing—we’re expecting our third child, and it’s a girl! We’ve named her Ava Marie, and we couldn’t be more excited. God has truly blessed us in so many ways, and I’m beyond grateful.
Looking ahead, I’m stepping into my next chapter as a retired Soldier, continuing to support the warfighter as a government contractor here in Huntsville. I plan to keep at it as long as it’s fulfilling, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store.
On the home front, we’re also preparing for big things for our oldest son who is on the spectrum. He’s applying to the Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering (ASCTE) for 10th grade, and we’re hopeful he’ll be accepted. It’s an amazing STEM school, and he’s passionate about gaming design. If he pursues that path, I’d love to see him at UCF one day.
Lastly, here’s to our UCF sports teams in 2025! I’m excited to see what Scott Frost can do for football and hopeful our basketball team will make some noise in the Big 12. Let’s go dancing in March!
