Heinz Field Uber fiasco

what a clusterbomb. My Uber driver couldn’t get into the designated Uber area on riversdale road because it was blocked off further up by the casino. Heinz field website advertised this everywhere as the Uber zone. My driver then tried 5 different ways to get on riversdale, and all blocked. I had to run down to the casino and luckily stumbled onto my driver.

Ended up barely making my red eye flight out. Could have taken the 28 bus and would have been faster

They jacked up my Uber price because it’s 5:30 A.M. on a Sunday morning

Away games aren’t cheap or convenient and not fun when you lose

My driver told me they were getting $80 suge price for the Garth Brooks concert downtown to the airport. Regularly $34.

Uber is starting to become a scam. I should have checked Lyft too, and I often see a pretty high variance in quoted prices - one way or the other.

Uber suck always rent a car. I was in Pittsburgh a month ago and walked to Hines for a pre season game from my air bnb. Uber and lift is a joke you don’t save all that much money vs a car rental.

That airport is about 30 miles outside the city too I think we paid about $130 for a car for 5 days a month ago.
