I was wondering when our decal game was going to get turned up. Hopefully we'll see the prison gray uniforms with this.
The only thing that matters is us scoring more than them. Looking cool and losing is just that....losing.

Does Bama care about their uniforms....No. Does Ohio State care about their Uniforms...No. Does LSU worry about thier uniforms...No. and on and on. Those programs (and others like them) don't care because the win at ths highest levels....consistently. That is swag.
Swag has nothing to do with uniforms. Swag is winning lots of games and laying beatdowns on teams both home and away. Swag is dominating your conferende year after year.

These fancy pants helmets are just there to distract from the high pad level and lack of contact speed. Also swag doesn't buy you fieldsmanship.
Trust me. Frost isn't talking to this team about uniforms before any game. If any coach does, that program has bigger issues. The pregame talks are about attitude and execution. Once the whistle blows the players and coaches are focused on their jobs.
He might not talk to the team about uniforms but he does talk about them to recruits.
Ohio State has put out some decent looking alternate uniforms, and there are plenty of other teams who do put out flashy uniforms and are winning programs. Those teams have long standing tradition, which is their "swag". Regardless of if they're good or not, you're probably not gonna see those programs changing their uniforms drastically.
Translation, "I hate fun." Maybe we should take down the new video and PA system because that doesn't help us win. Also we should only serve spam at the concession stands because good food for fans doesn't help the team's performance on the field. And tailgating should be banned because again, no on the field benefit. And why in God's name do we have a band, frivolous. And halftime shows and trophies and mascots, I'm against anything that doesn't yield an on the field benefit. I'm also against fun as a general proposition. I would hate to see how you dress yourself.

This! Why can't we have cool uniforms AND win or lose games? We all know that uniforms have nothing to do with winning or losing. Nor is it a distraction. Why do we constantly debate this issue? Let's not be a bunch of GOL's.
It's the whole fun and cool gameday experience for all. The fans, athletes, coaches, and university don't need to feel guilty, because UCF has cool uniforms.
However, it does help recruiting, because a lot of 17-18 year olds like that kind of stuff.

And how many combined centuries of football traditions do all those programs have on UCF?

Been waiting for this. This was from an article where they asked 4 and 5 star recruits (you know the ones that go to Ohio St, Alabama etc.) about uniforms.

It may be a stupid way to make a choice, but "GOOD MORNING", time to realize what utes are thinking today.

With these helmets there was no need for a targeting rule. You launch and lead with your head and you die. Permanent suspension.Just as long we remain amateurs and student-athletes.

Mattropolis wont let his wife wear a wedding ring because it doesn't help the performance of the marriage. He also won't wash his taurus as doing so doesn't increase the horsepower or gas mileage. He doesn't tend to his landscaping because a good looking yard does not improve the structual integrity of his house.
I wonder if having ugly uniforms works has the same inverse relationship as good uniforms. If so, those GOL gold uniforms did us no favors.
Really, GOL never allowed "gold" uniforms. GOL-era uniforms could have no more color than his hair.
Sun faded mustard yellow? Those pretty much describe the pee colored Adidas rags we used to wear.
No lie, I hope we get an all gold getup for next season. Shinny as fukc helmet, shinny accents on the jersey and bottoms, shinny ass gold cleats. I'm talking solid gold.
