So how does an illegal go about proving that they were working? Will their employers be fined as a result? Maybe that's how they pay for it.
They should use this as an opportunity to bait and switch these people. Make them think they are coming in to get some sweet cash, and then round them all up and send em packing.

It pisses me off. As a small business owner I have to beg for help. I enploy people , pay taxes , follow the law . How about giving another $15K to all the job creators in small businesses and not giving money to illegal aliens? Tens of thousands of small business went under because of the idiot Cuomo and his commie mayor De blasio . Their draconian orders ruined busineses and killed people. How about the citizen ,the tax payer and job creator getting a break and how about putting the citizen first and the noncitizen last ? Our government is now in the mode where the priority is the noncitizen .

So, yah this bothers me because I work my butt off, I pay taxes, I employe people ,I follow the rules,I follow the law or else . I don't want to pay for people who have no respect for the laws I have to follow. I don't want to pay for people who are here to milk the system in which I pay into. I don't give my money to a hedge fund guy to manage ,but I am forced by the government to pay them money and if I don't pay them they take my business. So, this bothers a great deal.

Is this money coming from federal sources? Illegal workers pay state and local taxes. They rent and their landlords pay property taxes. They pay sales tax. They pay tolls. Also many illegal workers work with fake social security numbers meaning their employer withholds taxes and social security even though they aren't eligible for the services they are paying for.

Well said. This kind of post COULD HAVE LED to an interesting discussion about the various factors involved in kick-starting our economy. But you can't have a nuanced discussion about complex issues when the Hannity's and Shapiro's of the world have to dumb down everything to Black and White in order to feed red meat to their listeners.
