History of US money design

Trump doesn't like this.

"Well, Andrew Jackson had a great history, and I think it's very rough when you take somebody off the bill," Drumpf said during a town hall on the "Today" show on NBC Thursday morning. "I think Harriet Tubman is fantastic, but I would love to leave Andrew Jackson or see if we can maybe come up with another denomination."

"(Jackson) had a history of tremendous success for the country," Drumpf said. "(The $20) really represented somebody really that was very important to this country. I would love to see another denomination and that could take place. I think that would be more appropriate."

Yeah, Jackson was a real stand-up guy, said no Native Americans ever.

I'm curious to see the image of Tubman they're going to use. She wasn't exactly photogenic (not a dig, I'm guessing it's impossible to emerge from decades of slavery as a supermodel). Then again Jackson wasn't a looker either and they made him look OK.

Without looking it up, wasn't he responsible for the Louisiana Purchase or something. If so, I'd say it was a pretty good deal.

It's so easy to judge people from the past isn't it.

First you have to ask why Jackson, why not the ten, the five, the one, the one hundred, fifty.

Besides the Dakotas with the oil, did we get anything good from the purchase? I mean, besides land and the big river we got: Louisiana, Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Wyoming and Montana. We paid $15M
Now, the purchase of Alaska was really good business for $7.5M
