This is very interesting. It potentially changes a lot. Seems like the popular test to determine if you are Covid positive or not , gives a positive Covid result for the flu and other common coronavirus too.

Is that what they’re implying or is it that the test cannot differentiate among strains of COVID or the flu?

There have always been murmurs of specificity problems with the tests but it might not be good to jump to the worst interpretation

I dont think that's exactly what it's saying. I dug into this a little bit and it doesn't sound like the tests were picking up influenza, but possibly were picking up other coronaviruses. The result was fewer people getting a flu test after a positive covid test, so if they died from the flu it was actually classified as a covid death. The FDA wants a new test that can detect both of them with one swab.

This is just my own non-expert theory on what this means:

Sars 2 was probably pretty comparable to Sars 1 in CFR. Both the number of cases and number of deaths are quite a bit lower than whats been reported, but since it is clearly way more transmissable than Sars 1, we still had a lot of deaths. Covid happened currently with 1 1/2 flu seasons, so probably knock 40-80 thousand off of the death rolls. Maybe another 50-100 thousand that were just people that died from other things while having the common cold. We're still talking about a lot of people that this thing killed, but probably not 650,000.

I sort of took as that too ,but it seems to me it could also be double counting or getting confused.

Our public health policy over the pandemic has been based on the total number of positives, hospitalizations and deaths. If the test has been pumping out more Covid positive cases than there truly are, thus inflating number of cases and then you have had in the beginning over counting Covid deaths , it potentially inflates the risks and harm significantly. There is a difference between dieing from Covid versus dieing with Covid and on the outset we counted them as the same. Then if you factor in the potential error here of who truly had Covid and then died with it , you potentially develoed public policy on shoddy data or inaccurate data. Let's hope they refine that test and improve it regardless.

Yep. And to make it worse, the nonsense of grouping asymptomatic with symptomatic tests together in the reporting system means we'll never know the real numbers. If nothing else can be learned from this, the one thing we can is that our ability to respond, track, and deal with a deadly virus leaves a lot to be desired. Add the politics and panic porn into the equation and next time we might be really screwed.

The only thing they are going to truly learn from this is a pandemic is a hell of a weapon against an incumbent President. That and how far they can go with restricting liberties before anyone pushes back.

LOL. Yes the whole world overreacted to the pandemic just to spite trumpets. And Japan even postponed an olympics. Quite an act. The pandemic was an opportunity to rally the country together in the pursuit of a common goal (like Bush after 9/11). But instead we were divided into groups that thought it was a democratic hoax and those who took it seriously. Rather than accept that Trump lost because he was an unpopular, lying, narcissist, attention seeking, divisive clown who couldn’t get more votes than a corrupt Clinton, you want to blame the pandemic.

Nah...we had massive restrictions, shutdowns, etc in commie States that did zero to lower overall covid numbers. It was a political weapon. The virus itself wasn't a hoax but it was used as a political ploy. Now we finally know it was gain of function that started this mess. Your boy Fauci probably directly involved with that funding. Let's not worry about that.
Only an idiot thinks that unpopular restrictions in New York or California had an impact on the presidential election. They are idiots because they must not know about the electoral college and that the results from “commie states” are foregone conclusions. Trump lost because of states like Georgia with Republican governors.

Yeah...I'm not sure that he lost in Georgia where video shows a worker literally feeding in the same stack of Biden votes multiple times. You say conservatives don't take the vaccine, but Georgia is 10% behind us.

Anyway when you cause economic pain and the msm gets to blame one person for 18 months the propaganda is too much. We see how well propaganda has worked in the past.
He lost in Georgia. Certified, signed sealed and delivered. As well as 2 other close states in Arizona and Wisconsin that have Republican governors. These were the closest of the swing states. The ones that mattered in the 2020 election and none had commie governors implementing unpopular restrictions to somehow deny Trump a second term.

They recounted the fukcing state 3 times and came up with the same result. Morons like knighttime will never be convinced.

I've been talking about this for weeks now. It's not just the RT-PCR test either. There are serious issues with various PCR tests. The tests are left to very poor interpretation.

Is that what they’re implying or is it that the test cannot differentiate among strains of COVID or the flu?

There have always been murmurs of specificity problems with the tests but it might not be good to jump to the worst interpretation
Not just 'murmurs' but actual lawsuits ... from the States to Singapore. The overwhelming majority of people who sue over 'protocols' end up proving the tests were invalid.

That's why people are getting repeatedly flagged. At least in sports, they typically have the same level of 'interpretation' for the same groups of players.

Yes, we all know that we only recount until the Democratic candidate is verified the winner.

W says hello.
Actually, that was the argument in Florida ... recount until the Democratic candidate wins. The Democrats and US Media actually argued that Florida should use Texas law, since W. was from Texas. Every lawyer I knew laughed at that.

And out in the Pacific-Northwest in early '00s, that's exactly what happened too! They recounted 4 times, the last one was when the Democratic candidate finally 'won,' and they stopped, ignoring the prior 3. At some point, provisional ballots 'add up.'

Just like every doctor I know laughs at the shit you write on here.
And what do they think of all the journals and publications I've shared?

That's the thing, you guys post 0 specifics. You don't get into any details. This stuff isn't hard. But it requires you to come up from 3rd grader level.

You're literally peddling BS that has, time and time again, been utterly wrong.

BTW, these are the same doctors that dismissed side-effects and 5 out of 6 had never bothered with the CDC VEARS until the US FDA made it mandatory with warnings.

There's been a lot of 'humble pie' as of late, and even the WHO has been warning more and more.

Let’s just scrap all the vaccines, because some 400 lb unemployed moron who searches Google 24/7 said so and see what happens. The same guy who posts on a free rivals WC message board read by the same 10-12 people 😂😂😂

Maybe he could provide another link to his personal Twitter or Linkedin page to get more look-at-me!!! attention, LMAO.

Again, I ask the question: what is his point? And again, he doesn't have one.
