Maybe we can break from focusing on terrible football for a thread. Who ya got for:

1. Best chance for NY6 Bowl bid

2. Best chance for backing into playoff if chaos happened with multi 2 loss P5 Champions and assuming undefeated after CG, obviously.

Best opponents left:

H has Vandy, Cincy, Memphis, Navy (Temple)
M has Navy, Houston, Temple (Temple)
T has Notre Dame, Memphis (H or M)

I've got Houston for 1. and Memphis for 2. Analysts were throwing out Temple for 2. but that's shortsighted talk with ND this week. Houston has easiest route to undefeated and I think 0 loss AAC jumps 0 loss Toledo. Memphis would have best body of work. If Ole Miss wins out to grab the west that only makes them more credible.

Would love to see Temple beat Notre Dame. If that happens it's hard to argue against a 0 loss AAC champ not being in the playoffs.

Though they'll probably get screwed.

Coaches Poll - Memphis 16th, Houston 19th, Temple 22nd - Navy 15 votes
Nolan's nRPI has Temple at #4, Memphis at #7 and Houston at #11

I'd love to see Temple beat Notre Dame too...and its possible since they have home field advantage...at least with the field.

There is still a lot of games left and memphis, houston and navy all still need to play each other so nobody has an edge yet. Navy is no slouch. Temple has the easiest path right now in the east division. Temple and memphis still have to play each other as well. They effectively have a 2 loss cushion over ecu right now. Usf is the only other team in the east division right now that I think controls thier own destiny. Really need another two weeks to figure out more realistic scenarios.

I don't think they would hey the nod from the committee. The talking heads l love to pump up ND when they have 2 or fewer Ls but wouldn't give as much credit for a W over them (would be 2nd) as they would for Ole Miss with 3 (LSU)....imo. Gotta love SEC bias.

There's some talk that if Ole Miss wins the SEC they could be left out of the playoff picture.
I doubt Temple makes the final four but there's a case if they can beat Notre Dame, if they beat Memphis and win against a strong team from the AAC west in the conference finals, an undefeated Top 10 season is in their reach.

Of course the GOL supporters want all of them to fail because it gives them one last told you so before most of them lose their jobs as GOL forum board reps.*

I think they'd top out Temple at about 15 like they did to us. Memphis could back into top 10.

Navy, memphis, and houston all still have to play each other. Temple also has to play memphis. Temple pretty much has already won the east but usf can still factor. They are the only other team left that still controls its own destiny. We need another two weeks for the overall picture to really clear up. Best scenario is unbeaten east vs west title game, but you could also end up having everyone with one loss. Shame we suck but it's still fun to see so many of our conference mates excel. It's good for business.

What you talkin bout willis. I want UCF to get better, grabbing our share of ACS bowl $$$ makes us better off. Plus the AAC doing well and getting better TV deal makes us better off.
Odds are better we are staying put than leaving, if that is the case, I want AAC to be light years ahead to the G4.
