Houston had 1st and a yard late in game that would have been a 23 point lead. They got cutesy trying a quick snap which became a touchback. OU couldn't run and couldn't block blitzing defenders. Another case of a preseason ranking based on zilch after OU graduated their whole offensive line.

Drop your Johnson and focus on reading comprehension. Start with the thread title. Does that discredit Houston? Perhaps the message is that OU was overrated based merely upon being in a so called P-5 conference. I'm sure the Big 12 presidents are reading our message board, and are acutely attuned to what UCFProf says before they make any invitation decisions. Intelligence isn't your best attribute is It?

I don't think it discredits Houston or takes anything away from them. They were clearly the better team. My hostility is because of the "fear of losing out on a big 12 invite to them" portion of your post.

And I'm just questioning the "Oklahoma is overrated" portion of the post above. Every team that loses doesn't mean they are overrated. The team that won could just just be legit that's all.

I thought Houston would make this a game or win. FSU pre-season favorite for national championship. Yet team who beat them in bowl returning a lot and great recruiting class ranked 15.

That fumble in the 4th quarter was such a bone head call. Why hurry and call a read option up by 16 late in the 4th on the 1? Go slow and punch it in.
