The hope was to surround Palestine and Iran with countries at peace, and eventually bring Palestine into the fold. Any chance of pulling that off went away with Biden who immediately brought Iran back into talks, Hamas is under Iran's umbrella. As for Israel, They are still better off with 4 peace deals in place while Hamas is acting out again.
