How Big Is Yours?

Tulsa University is largely endowed at $1 billion. Not bad for the smallest Div I school.

In constant dollars, it is down by around 10 percent from the early 80s. Assuming a 6% growth rate over a 7 year span, it still hasn't recovered from 2008 losses. Also, during that time, growth in University expenses has outpaced the growth in the contribution of the interest from the endowment. Great, but not as cheery as Upham and the Trustees would like you to think. At least they are paying for light bulbs and pest control, unlike when we were in school.

UCF just fired Tom Messina, former alumni bigwig. Evidently UCF is not in the top 10 per cent.

Some of these are sitting on so much money it will make a liberals head spin.

It's interesting too becuase the Ivies have to spend so much every year that the only way they can do it is to raise tuition and then offer everyone who is not a trust fund baby assistance.
