I have no idea what the UA plan here is. BUT by extending STEM opportunities (aeronautics in this case) into economically depressed areas and making them more attractive to younger students who normally wouldn’t be interested, sustaining their interest, and offering tuition support, perhaps they will see more of the women and POC that they are seeking self-selecting into becoming pilots.
IF this is the plan, I applaud UA for doing this vs. expecting government funded schools in these areas to increase the opportunity for their students to become pilots.
Pushing out a measure of performance for the program is a bad idea IMO and while it may win virtue signaling points, it is obviously going to be divisive and draw warranted criticism.
