I'm surprised no one has mentioned SC State. If we won a couple of games i can understand the overconfidence, but ive read some articles on them. They like to run a fast offense too. One of their scrimmages had them running 80 plays.
Jawon HamiltonNames on the jerseys? Someone wearing #1?!? Obviously we only have "me" players now.
I can't even imagine the vomit that will be backing up in my throat if week 1 goes down to the wire. Lots of this in the stands:![]()
Unbelievable, all the jerseys should say "me" on the back. GOL is probably rolling over in his grave.Jawon Hamilton
We better not loseI gave you a run down of our opponent a few weeks ago. Top defense in their conference and one of the better offenses, too.
Let them have fun. GOL died?? It's what his statue is going to do that scares me.Unbelievable, all the jerseys should say "me" on the back. GOL is probably rolling over in his grave.
Whoops... that's embarrassing. I had assumed he died based on the poorly timed push for the statue.Let them have fun. GOL died?? It's what his statue is going to do that scares me.
Holman has always looked awkward and slow running the option. I'm sure he's improved greatly in the offseason, considering that is a huge part of this offense.Holman looks pretty fast this year and if the O line can open up lanes we will be very effective.
I would guess we struggle early but we will be a dangerous team the last 1/3 of the year.
Indeed, the team just carried the carcass around for 8 games before they couldn't handle the stench no more.GOL died??

whatever it takes to win!!Names on the jerseys? Someone wearing #1?!? Obviously we only have "me" players now.
Sadly, I expect the gap between P-5 and everyone else to become a chasm while the non-P-5 schools to become more similar in talent and coaching to the S. Carolina States of the world. Why? P-5s offering players annual expense stipend (i.e., compensation) and also discouraged from scheduling non-P-5s as OOC opponents. We've reached the point we did back in 1994: move up or give up. The difference now, though, is the choice this time is not in our hands! A school cannot choose to move up to P-5 like we did to Div. I-A. Back then, we could even survive as an independent when no leagues would take us in. When we got too dangerous to serve as canon fodder, We had to accept a football-only membership in the far-off, snowbound MAC, which we and Marshall ran roughshod through. Today, we must sit at the ball with an empty dance card.First game will tell if last season was an aberration or sorry state of our program. I'm still holding out hope that it was the perfect storm we witnessed last season. Payback for Hail Mary pass, etc.
If we go 3-9 putting up 40 points a game, I'll be cool with that.
Nope. Only his players.Let them have fun. GOL died?? It's what his statue is going to do that scares me.
