We may not be in the fake news P5 ( we all know it’s really P6), but really how many of the teams in those conferences have really had better seasons in the past 5 years?
The majority of those other power conference teams play for scraps, crappy bowls, or just serve themselves up as sacrifices to the Alabamas and Clemsons. Even blue bloods such the Corn University and UF have gone through big slumps. Meanwhile in that timeframe, UCF has won 2 major bowls, three conference championships, one National Championship, spent several weeks ranked (not given rankings based on speculations at the beginning of the season), and plenty of good players go to the NFL, including a first round QB. Sure we had a winless season, but I would gladly accept a Pinto if they give me 1 Ferrari and a Mercedes to go along with it. This is peak time to be a UCF fan, and we have been one of the best programs in the country.
There are something like128 FBS teams out there and we’ve been better than almost all of them. Charge on!
