In regards to the female terrorist out in California...its now being reported that the reason why she was approved for her VISA to the USA was because US Authorities didn't spend 1 second looking at her past social media comments about wanting to be a Jihadist and/or other obvious wanna be terrorist views.

It's so easy to cut the budget when it comes to activities that Americans don't see. We don't get attacked anyways, well, at least not from external agents. So there's no risk in cutting foreign assets to nothing and concurrently killing acquisition of technology directly targeted at detecting and stopping attacks.

Until we get attacked and then it all comes down. But if you can blame fear-mongering long enough then you can keep your legacy intact and, even if your party loses, you win because you can blame the other party for the fruits of your gamble. Oh, and the programs that you funded with the money you took from intel, active forces, and acquisition will never get cut so, all in all, you win.
