How often do you plug in headphones to your cell phone?

There are a few cell phones that have already discarded the 3.5mm headphone jack, adding to the perpetual rumor that all cell phones will be without them in the next two years ( a Huffpo explanation www.huffingtonpost.in/2016/06/14/headphone-jack_n_10434632.html ).

I never plug in headphones to my cell phone, but I'm the weirdo that always has a iPod with me as well ( I use it at work more than I do my cell phone ), so it's only happened when binging Dare Devil and House of Cards during a commute.

But it damn near seems most people just listen to their shitty cell phone speakers struggling with ratchet artists and random YT videos.

I use blue tooth headphones for all workouts but plug in the rest of the time, either on my flights or walking through airports. Would love for Bose to make good noise canceling phones that are blue tooth for sure, but until then I'll stick with my QC3's

What kind of blue tooth head phones do you use? I've been thinking of getting some too because I am tired of the damn chord getting in the way.

Bose noise cancelling are the bomb on flights. Whoops....proudly shouldn't say "bomb" referencing flying.

Daily. Running, yard work, conference calls, streaming music to a non-bluetooth thingy or to a dead bluetooth thingy. My truck doesn't have bluetooth cuz it's old.

I use it all the time. I hate bluetooth. Cuts out often, gets interference when near others. I prefer cord. Also, you can get aftermarket microphones used for field recording. Removing the headphone/mic jack would be unbelievably stupid as many in the music industry use those boom mics when they don't have pro-gear available.

I just got a pair of Jams (Best Buy brand, I think?) and they seem pretty good. Tired of dealing with cables.

Bluetooth causes cancer. If you stand between the communicating devices for too long you will get brain tumors.

All of the time. I watch a lot of HBO Go or Netflix at home. The headphones keep my isolated.

We bleed green & gold, baby!

Just gotta do something to drown out the wife's nagging. She is 7.5 months pregnant and hormonal as ever.

I only plug in my Bose noise-cancelling earbuds on the plane. Otherwise, it's bluetooth earbuds while exercising and my plantronics bluetooth hub while in my home office.

I spent too many years looking for a good pair, wasting a lot of money. So I stuck with plug-in buds, usually the Yamaha EPH-50 ($79 list, usually found for $35-50 street, now discontinued), with and without (just hold the phone up) mics. I was always frustrated between finding a good headset, but a crappy headset + mic. I got an adapter so I could use a regular headset with an added mic, but it was never ideal.

But recently there's been a crop of low-cost, Bluetooth 4.x headphones of the same design. The pair I currently have, and have 3 pair -- one at work, one at home, and one backup in the car -- are these, branded SmartOmni Smart i8, which usually run only $25-28 (seems the black pair is running $35 now).

I'm totally surprised how well the mic works all the way back on the bud itself. I've used them in wind and it actually does a good job of cancelling out the noise. And the headphones are pretty damn good, sound-quality wise, good bass too. Again, they are sold under many different names, but that's the pair I have, ordered from Amazon.
