How would you describe this season in a nutshell?

So many times we were ahead of the other team only to get slapped in the back of the head. Big brother little brother or big sister little brother, etc ...

In a spistachio shell, it would have been moderately positive. In a walnut shell the season could be described as expected by many . In a pecan shell some will say it's disappointing. In a peanut shell ,though really a legume and not a nut, we are in the Big XII and next year will be cashing a check!

Ever so slightly disappointed in not playing usf the last game, hysterically happy they got left behind and schooled by a bad FAU.

Close to expected, if we can beat Houston tomorrow. I had us going 7-5 before the season started, 6-6 is not much different.

I think UCF was incredibly lucky to win their game at Boise State. One fo the Broncos top RB's was out (and we saw what their backup did to us) due to injury, and their dual-threat starting QB went out midway through the game as well. It took a heroic effort by our kicker to win that game, which I don't think ever happens if Boise State's QB doesn't go down earlier in the game.

Obviously, the Baylor game is the one game you look back on and feel you (of course) should have won. Just no excuse for that contest whatsoever.

So your'e lucky on the road in one game, winning when you probably shouldn't have (Boise State), and your'e unlucky/poor performing in another (Baylor). Kind of evens out.

Texas Tech was another game they probably should have won, certainly had many chances to. That one was always a coin-toss 50/50 game for me. But yeah, 7-5/6-6ish, kind of expected (imo).

Mostly unwatchable

it wasn’t just the W-L record they rarely look prepared. have a disjointed look and players way too arrogant while the Program has slid into mediocrity. Thankful for the P5/4 invite so we can’t be left behind if the split happens.

"As expected"

I called 6-6 prior to the beginning on the year. Looks like that will be how it unfolds.

It's gonna take a few years for us to get bigger and more skilled but I think we are more than on our way to achieving that.

Had most of the horses but not the coaches....and the player's shortcomings should have been overcome by game planning, scheming and preparation to play a full 60 minutes. Instead, we have a coaching staff that seems to think that everybody playing hard will overcome their own shortcomings. Well, I think they've proved it won't. Time to move Gus into a figurehead/recruiting role and bring in an heir apparent with a young staff that will work their butts off to make sure that the team gets the coaching they need to be more successful. Time for the coaches to work as hard at coaching as they seem to be working at recruiting (and we'll know more on that come signing day and with the transfer portal).

If we can find a really good, long term QB during next season I will be happy at this point.
Don't want to play USF in a bowl game this year.
