A 17 yr ikd student got his hands on a handgun and shot 2 students at school earlier today but this time, the School Resource Officer responded in 1 minute and now that 17 yr old shooter is dead.

This officer responded in less than a minute. The other responded in 10 minutes. I know youre a moron but even you know that a Glock 17 holds 17 rounds. If this kid has multiple mags then way, way more then 2 kids COULD have been shot. But WERENT because of how fast the LEO responded.

If the LEO in Parkland responds in less than a minute we are facing way, way less than 17 dead.

There are many, many people who have survived 5.56 wounds. You also know that many AR-15s are also not chambered in 5.56 and even then there are substantial differences in 5.56 ammunition. He also conveniently skipped my point that the fact that only 2 kids were hit has everything to do with the response of the LEO, and virtually nothing to do with the weapon of choice. If given time someone could hit many people with a handgun, given you have 18 rounds at your disposal and can easily reload.

I see you can't even comprehend the different actions by this well trained police officer in MD, who encountered the shooter in about 1 minute or less and the INACTION of 4 Broward County Deputies (especially their School Resource Officer) who NEVER encountered that shooter during his 3 floor shooting rampage.

1) Yes there are tons of calibers used by AR15's, guess what, most of them are even more powerful than 5.56! So congrats on making my point for me. 300 Blackout has aprox 30% more energy and is probably the most popular alternative, so congrats on proving my point.

2) Please, explain how the fact that people have survived being shot by a 5.56 round proves your point that it would be better if the shooter hadn't been armed with a handgun. Please. I would love to hear you try to twist the facts.

VA Tech Murderer used 2 pistols to kill 32 people and shot 17 others that survived.

Killer had 19 mags, hundreds of lbs of ammo and chains (chained/locked classroom building).

No, you're the idiot equating a shithead school shooter, where engagement is 15 feet or less in crowded, tight spaces, to what the US Military needs to engage enemy combatants at long range with body armor.

And given the fact that a handgun can be concealed, allowing a school would-be shooter to blend in with people trying to escape, and then redraw it later, does make it deadlier in that scenario.
