I knew Alex Morgan's visit to UCF 2 weeks ago meant something...

Yep after her visit to UCF and Orlando, she decided to force a trade to Orlando's new NWSL team the Orlando Pride.

Personally, I like the name of the Orlando's NWSL team. It's very fitting as Orlando is after all the 2nd most gay friendly city in the World. We all know the lesbos love them some soccer. Gosh it's going to be some easy pickings at matches.

Just how big is women's in Orlando? Well the USWNT is playing Brazil here on Sunday. It's going to be epic.

Or the name "pride" could refer to a group of lions. Lions being the name of the men's soccer team.

That trade for Morgan is terrible for Orlando. She hasn't been very good the past few seasons and hardly plays any league games as she plays so often for the national team. If she's willing to skip some national team games this season, there's no women's world cup for 3 years, and play all 20 for the Pride then maybe it will be a good trade. Orlando needs to bring in Leroux so we can get Dwyer back to Orlando. Larin - Dwyer would be a deadly strike combo.

You know she's married to one of the players on Orlando City right? She and her husband live here and so it is pretty natural she trains here --- including stops at both UCF and Rollins.

This has been rumored almost since the day OCSC acquired him. I think it is a great move for the team. There's tons of girls playing soccer all over Central Florida and to have one of the female players in the world coming to our hometown team isn't a bad thing at all.

What did she say to you and O'Leary during brunch?

Uuuugh, well yea, it meant she was here to see Servando. But there was always the chance Alex would land here once he got traded from Sporting to City. Just like you could see Sydney move from Seattle to FC KC to be closer to Dom.

Thought her husband was playing for Seattle or Portland

Only 2 NWSL teams averaged more than 4,200 fans per game.

7 out of the 9 teams averaged just 3,337.

Morgan is probably the most popular US Women's player over the last few years (on and off the field) so having her and the small new soccer stadium might give them a chance to be successful.

Point is don't confuse popularity of the US Women's Team with a Professional Women's League.

True. Very true. Leroux is hotter than Morgan.

Not sure why but I would rather watch her play than Káka.
