Most of us live in the real world. We have expectations that we are given. We have goals we set at the beginning of the year and we are evaluated based upon those goals. For me, it does not matter what extenuating circumstances happen in my day to day life, I must still deliver the goal that were set for me.
I say this because as of now, UCF has the worst offense in Div 1, last in several categories including yards per game, points per game and probably several others. I know that UCF lost its QB, guess what, what was the back up plan. From what I could gather this coaching staff did not have one. Now I never thought that UCF would win this game anyway so I really don't care but what I saw tonight was enough talent to beat FIU but the coaching staff sandbagged the first game.
Now UCF is 0-2, has not won a game in over nine months and quite frankly is looking at a two to four win season. I can accept a two to four win season, what I can't accept is a coaching staff that looks to have no plan for contingencies. As I watched the backups tonight it was obvious to me that Harris was more ready than Schneider, now it could be who they were facing but after the Bortles/Godfrey debate I question if Harris could have given UCF a chance to score just a point.
This season is a wash, I get it. Even with Holman this was a six to seven win team, now its less.
