I think most of you said I was full of BS when I mentioned this 3 years ago...

An Xbox One is a PC, just like the original Xbox. The only Xbox that wasn't a PC was the 360, which was a triple-Power core.

Since the move to the NT-based kernel with Mobile, away from CE, it was inevitable. In fact, why did it take so long?

Heck, a lot of games aren't even developed on Windows the last decade.

Ummm, the Xbox One is a PC! It's two (2) quad-core AMD Jaguars. I said that since Day 1, especially since Windows Mobile now being NT-kernel. This means the libraries and bytecode can be identical.

SIDE NOTE: The Xbox 360 was not, a triple-core Power. The original Xbox was a PC, a Pentium III.

The issue we were talking about back then was how the Windows phones could not run Win32/x86 bytecode without emulation. That's why Microsoft was creating a .NET payload for non-Win32/x86 to emulate Win32/x86, even for Win64/x86-64 too. But the point is now moot because Microsoft has stopped all new development all phones and non-x86. ;)

In fact, that's what I predicted they might do! Microsoft is now becoming Apple, one of Intel's biggest PC OEMs. ;)

Damn.
I guess my memory is fried.
So, it wasn't BS...although he's aptly named.
Backfired. Phooey.
No, it was me.
But we were talking non-x86 phones running Windows Mobile.

I also remember bringing up how the Xbox One is a PC.
If anything ... Microsoft finally dropping almost everything non-x86 has come true.
Remember, also included the Surface 3 being a PC, no longer a non-PC.

Now they've dropped all future development on non-x86 phones too.
Which smacks that whole "Dev" non-sense too (told you it was marketing!) ;)

As I mentioned from the get-go ...
I know a number of long-time, core CE/NT architects from Microsoft.
Internals have been my thing for a long, long time, and the realities that go along with it.

Microsoft is becoming Apple, one of Intel's main PC OEMs. ;)

Na...I never argued with you about the phones. I also shared the info regarding the elimination of RT in favor of a homogenous environment across all devices. I held the new 6-core lumia phone with full desktop at the Live360 conference 2 years ago and shared it. I was on the same page. It was someone else...not you BS. I admit my error. You are arguing with yourself. I have known the xbox is a pc since the original arrived in 2000. I used to mod them and reflash them.

I assumed it was BS as well, mainly because he's dumb. I guess it could've been the whole x86 bullshit I can't even remember. Only other person would be woot.
