If Big 12 expansion raids AAC, Mike Aresco says his league will be OK

Yes, just like UCF used to be the "coach-in-training-for P5-college school",......it seems the AAC is the rest stop right before P5-ville (for colleges that are growing football).Aresco has a tough job. He seems to handle it well, at least in media interviews he does. He must go home and kick his dog a lot. <-rhetorical, and I hope he doesn't kick his dog.
I disagree. I predict that Big 12 will invite BYU, Houston, Cincy and UCF.Out:
Cinci
Memphis
UCF

You can disagree, but that just means you're wrong.I disagree. I predict that Big 12 will invite BYU, Houston, Cincy and UCF.
Lol! Prediction is futile at this point. It really is anybody's guess. You can disagree, but that just means you're wrong.
I know, but it makes for some fun friendly banter.Lol! Prediction is futile at this point. It really is anybody's guess.
Memphis, Cincy, Houston, and BYU
We either move way up or way down! There's no way to stay where we are. The AAC is already half C-USA -- Houston, UCF, SMU, E. Carolina, Tulane, Tulsa -- so they'll just raid that conference again (or the Mountain West. Which means that UCF will be playing even lower quality teams if we aren't selected for the Big 12. Worse yet, the Big 12 is the very last expansion remaining, virtually shutting the door on jumping to the P-5 (at least unless or until those conferences expand to 16 teams). Because the three big Florida teams will block UCF from the ACC and SEC, the only other possible conference -- don't laugh -- is the Big Ten, which heavily depends on Florida for recruiting and uses I-75 to spend every winter here.
I do understand the point, but I don't think the fall off in the AAC would be that tremendous. If Houston goes a big hit as a top 10 team, and we unfortunately stay, and the AAC adds #24 W.Kentucky and App. St., then those two would be the highest ranked teams in the AAC (if they could remain as strong as 2015). The next team closest to being ranked was Temple, several places below App. St. Of course that is only if they went for teams on the rise and not market. I don't know if either are at all desirable markets.

God no to WKU and App State
Don't overlook the AAC's basketball vs. football quality. Our conference, despite losing all those Big East powerhouses as well as Louisville, is still known as basketball conference. We simply have not been able to match up with the outrageous athletic talent we face in hoops -- we've yet to beat most all of the top 6 basketball teams or give them much trouble. The football recruits in the AAC are mostly very average, on the other hand. Loss of Cincy, Memphis, and UConn decimates the hoops quality but not the gridiron talent.God no to WKU and App State
