If you don't think we need a new coach...

Turn on the Memphis/Ole Miss game and watch how fired up those players are. Granted they are having a great year, but even in our greatest season, our players didn't show emotion like that. We need someone to come in and re-energize this team.
That's why I want someone like durkin or Pruitt or another coordinator. Unless richt becomes available

We need to hire a coach who really wants to be here. Did you hear what they said about Fuentes? He did his homework before taking the Memphis job. All O'Leary did was take our money and coached reactively.

He might be a good coach, but it is nice having a likely 1st rounder at QB. Ucf team from 2013 agrees too.

Look I am mad about this year too. But when someone says that O'Leary coached "reactively," they are just blindly criticizing and talking without thinking. GOL built the program using a blueprint that many people hated. It was a slow deliberate plan. It was anything but reactive. I bet you complained about how he didn't make adjustments, ran too much, didn't spread it out or pass enough when the rest of the league does, that his offense is a dinosaur, etc. To say he coached reactively is kind of ignorant. Most complain that he doesn't react enough.

Lol he didnt consider recruiting South Florida as much until he hired David Kelly. He hired Taaffe due to pressure to make changes. Otherwise he'd keep Tim Salem as the OC. Btw Salem should thank Kevin Smith for keeping him around. I have no issue with ball control football games. Its actually a great way to frustrate fast paced teams. Fuentes appeared to study the program and knew how to make it a success. GOL was probably goaded by his AD buddy to take this job. He probably built this program without considering the resources that could benefit him until his ass was on the line.

As for the run too much option, its a shame how far our run-oriented program has fallen considering Kevin Smith, Tay Murray, Storm Johnson, Ronnie Weaver has graced our field in the past. You'd think running backs would love to play in our system and you'd think we could identify a good one since we specialize in it.

That's ridiculous. When we were winning 10 games a year, conference titles, and a BCS game our kids were psyched. You just are selectively ignoring what what actually happened.
When Memphis at least plays for the conference title, I'll give them their due. When Memphis wins a conference title I'll give them their due. When Memphis wins a BCS game I'll give them their due. As of now, they are a really good AAC school that deserves to be ranked. Three weeks ago everyone was anointing Ole Miss a playoff team and when they lose 2-3 more SEC games that win by Florida won't look so sweet, and the loss by Bama will look worse. Then they had to play some games. Memphis Vs Houston should be a great game to watch.

We don't want that! Look at that crowd, it is way too big! I would never be able to get my nachos with a crowd that big. Probably too loud as well. No thanks.

Yup the run game has fallen from grace. Isn't it amazing how our program went from having a perennially-strong running game to the most inept and pathetic rushing attack in the country? It is so sad. And yet we have held onto trying to establish a "power" running game with no power. Sad. I really hope the program goes "all out" recruiting linemen. Without a competent line, runningbacks don't stand a chance. And I am afraid good backs won't want to come here because our line is so notoriously bad. I hope it isn't a nasty cycle that feeds itself. But this won't last forever. I can't wait until the program is winning again.

Zone running with would be the best option but key hasn't implemented that
