And students suffer most when the teams are bad and AD is incompetent. Student athletic fees at USF, UCF among the highest in the nation and ten times higher than at UF. I calculated that today, our students may almost $14 for each "free" hoops or pigskin game, regardless of whether they attend. FIU's fees are even higher!
Getting into a P-5 conference is the only permanent cure to our budget woes. Otherwise, short term success only results in your coaches leaving for much higher salaries at P5 universities that are often way inferior to UCF academically (such as Miss St. or Okla St). We call those schools "free riders."

Most P5 programs with 75-100+ years of athletic history have low fees. But they are hardly the highest. I invite you to hit a lot of non-P5 programs and there fees.

Alabama is 0-1 against UCF. Doesn't mean they can't smack talk us.
One game doesn't hold much weight. All I'm saying is before we ridicule their program, let's face the facts. On the field they have been the better program year after year except for 2. Hopefully those days are gone!!

apples to apples the score is 2-1 UCF, any other analysis of the UCF-usf rivalry is like comparing Div 1-A ECU v. Div 1-AA UCF. The gap between BCS and lowly C-USA was almost just as big. Viewed that, go ahead and make fun of Tampon U.
Haha Look again. USF has a smaller class, one less 3 star (which is about to change as one is flipping to USF) and a 4 star as well as the top Junior wide receiver in the country just gave us his verbal.

Heck...even with UCF Basketball on probation and down scholarships...UCF Hoops has beaten USF 3 out of the last 4 conf hoop games...including a sweep of the series last year.
Thread was premature. USF is now #55 while UCF is tied at #64. Our recruiting is just hitting stride now.

These aren't even final ratings. They will change during senior season. Our recruiting under CWT has been good, no reason to believe it won't be again. We picked up I think 11 recruits in a week, and several with big time offers.
Everyone backed off of him. He wanted to play QB and we said RB, maybe slot. UF backed off of him and so did we. Same with burch, we weren't recruiting him. The only recruit that USF got that we were actively recruiting was Scott, besides that not a big deal to our coaches.
