If you think this offense up with Holman then I have some bad news for you.

Holman broke the finger on his throwing hand. In fact it protruded through the skin. Gripping the ball, let alone a spiral, is going to be difficult if UCF rushes him back. Because of this if George rushes him back, of course he will, then Key will continue to be conservative. He will blame it on the injury as the offense continues to be the worst offense in modern cfb history, He won't open it up and spread it out. Instead he will call the same little 6 plays he always does. So if you think Holman coming back is going to be some miraculous turnaround, you are dead wrong.

According to Mark Daniels during an interview on the SC radio station, the plan for Stanford was, and I quote: "Spread option, no huddle, then Holman goes down and that plan is out the door".

Is Holman the only QB that practiced? Why aren't all QBs practicing the same plays? Or was he drunk when he said that?

I think we all agree Holman won't be 100% for some time, even if he comes back in the coming weeks.

When have we done much of that during GoL? We haven't. We just haven't.

Several people have admitted (including you) they won't be happy until we have a no-huddle, spread offense, allegedly opening up running. They hate the pro-set, the ball control, the defense-oriented. Noted. There's nothing they can do to make happy. Also noted.

I don't think any of us think so. We have a lot of raw, inexperienced talent, even around Holman as FIU proved. And even I complained about the coaching staff after FIU.

But let's get real ... we have a very inexperienced offense that can turn the ball over as a result. I don't think spreading it out and going no huddle will help that. You can call me a moron and an idiot, question if I know anything about football, but even when Key opens up the playbook and goes well off the run on first down path, we don't always have success.

We'll get 1-2 series that look good, but eventually our inexperience catches up with us. There are limits to what we can do with the youngsters we have. They are talented, extremely talented, and there's a reason why Bo and Tyler are the #2 and #3 QBs, as well as bringing in Patti to run the Wild Knight. I'm sorry you don't like it, but this is the reality of where we are at ... especially with the injuries.

You really need to find a P5 team instead of being an UCF fan. If your posts have taught me anything, it's your levels of expectations out of this program. I'm especially scared if and when you get what you want ... and then it will bite all of us. Heck, Navy in the AAC even proving my point so far ... what wins the championship. It's not what you want.

You do realize that the hurry up and spread is a run first offense, right ? You spread the teams out to confuse them into thinking you are going to pass, but in reality run a draw.It is also based on misdirection hitch teams with shit olines use. I just want to know if you do realize that. Let's see:TCU, Boise, Notre Dame, Texas Tech, UF, FSU, Houston, Cincy, Memphis, BYU, Oregon, Utah, Michigan, Toledo, western kentucky, Ohio State, etc are all run first oriented offenses that include hurry up principals. Even Bama realized that because they realized that everyone was stacking the box on them. So they went spread and hurry up.
You do realize what is happening to Arkansas and VT. They went from a hurry up to power I need everyone has figured out how to beat them. So yes UCF needs to adapt.

Holman is cleared to play. He was cleared to play Saturday. He was in full pads. He's not being rushed, he's just not going to make a difference, that's all.

He's a half decent runner which adds another dimension. Schneider and Harris are so sloooooow.

You do realize we've done very well without running a spread, no huddle offense, correct?

I get it. We all get it. You and others want the defense-first, ball-control program gone. Yes. I don't dispute this.

As I said ... I'm watching a bit of Navy as of late. It's not sexy. UCF has never been sexy. You don't like that. I get it.

You will not stand anyone who doesn't use a spread, no huddle offense. That's why GoL doesn't belong here. We get it.

Where did I ever say I wanted defense first football gone? Why because I said Ucf needs to go at a faster pace like they did in 2012,2013,and 2014? Um the spread and hurry up is a great ball control method and has replaced antiquated offenses that Ucf now runs in terms of possessing the ball.

Oh and your previous navy example. Do you know who Paul Johnson is, I'll wait for you to google him and parent like you knew him, when he got to GT he picked up the pace and started going no huddle with a triple option offense cause he realized that the cfb landscape was changing and didn't want to get left behind.
