lol so this worthless partisan bill will be challenged in courts and either get thrown out entirely or overturned once it reaches SCOTUS. It doesn't really matter anyways since IL is a cesspool Democratic stronghold thanks to Chicago. Leave him off the ballot and the result is the same either way.

"Muh TDS! Let me seez thoz taxes!!!"

As usual, you completely ignore the actual post, devolve to pathetic name calling and follow your brain dead party line.

This is the quintessential 85 post. Maybe include a little more death threats to really encompass all that you stand for as a human and Christian .

I think there are like 7 Republican congressional reps. there. It would be a shame if low republican turnout due to Trump being off the ballot cost them those seats.

It's actually 100% constitutional that states run their own elections and set requirements for getting on the ballot there. This isn't discriminatory at all. Everyone files taxes this should be a low hurdle to clear.

Nah...no reason for Trump to release taxes with multi-national companies. Better luck next time.

It’s actual voter suppression which you idiots seem to be crying about so frequently

It's a reasonable hurdle that anyone can clear. Trump is making the choice. Thats not voter suppression.

It’s an arbitrary prior custom that these idiots are trying to enshrine as law and it’ll fall easily. Just because these blue states have TDS doesn’t mean they get to remove voter choices that 45% of their populace wants to vote for.

This is almost as pathetic as your constant TDS bed wetting on this board

It’s an arbitrary prior custom...
An 'arbitrary' custom? This "custom" has a very long history dating back to Richard Nixon. Not all candidates released the same number of years but nobody outright stonewalled the public -- until Trump.

And Trump has become the poster child for why it's important for all candidates for our highest office to release their tax returns. If a candidate has a Russian oligarch sugar daddy, the American people should know about it before they vote.

How about a law you must be employed or retirement age to vote? They rest are useless and don't deserve a vote since they don't pay taxes.

Yikes! You're talking about me!!! :flushed:

But before you take away my vote Mister Jim Crow Jr., I would like to point out that I do pay taxes on the money I take out each month from my retirement account to live on. I also pay all kinds of other taxes. And for the record, most Americans do too, even if they all don't pay federal income taxes.

It stands to reason that if there was something illegal going on with Trumps tax returns then the IRS would have found it and prosecuted him by now. People with as complex business dealings as Trump don't fall through the cracks. What exactly do people think they will learn by seeing his returns? That he pays the bare minimum amount like the rest of us?

The better question is why WOULDN'T Trump release his tax returns like every other Presidential candidate has done in modern history? What about them are troubling Trump to the point of stonewalling their public release?

Your idiotic partisan assumptions don’t do anything to advance this conversation. Take your delusions elsewhere

These idiots really think that THEY will find wrong doing that the IRS couldn’t in the years and years of reviewing his returns.

It’s insane. We have the IRS for a reason. And billionaires don’t escape scrutiny from the IRS

Who said anything about reviewing tax returns to uncover 'wrong-doing' for crying out loud??!?!

I would assume they are 'above board.' But if a return shows that a Presidential candidate has foreign business interests and/or financing, the American people have a right to know about them.

Ever think he’s doing it just to keep living debt free in yalls heads
At least we'all have SOMETHING going on inside our heads. ;)

This issue is another example of the underlying theme motivating Trump voters:

'Burn the f'king house down.'

Sitting presidents can't be charged and all that remember.

Listen, his taxes are coming out. There's very little he can do to stop it.

The state of New York is voting on a law where they will give any congressional committee any tax returns they request.

The treasury is required by law to release any tax returns they request. (They decided to not follow this law)

More states will do what Illinois is doing. There is no way Trump will avoid releasing his taxes this election cycle.

I seriously doubt that this has changed much since he’s become president. We don’t have a right to know. Who cares other than the Democrat’s. Put your own tax returns out there. Only the IRS “needs” to see anyone’s tax returns. Otherwise, it’s just another witch-hunt, nothing burger, distraction. It won’t change ANYTHING. Waste of time

Omg! Trump had passive income from a licensing deal in St. Petersburg, Russia! HE MUST BE BEHOLDEN TO AN OLIGARCH!!!!

- mindless liberals

Bullsh*t. We have EVERY right to know.
Put your own tax returns out there.
I'm not running for President. If I were, I would.

Says the guy who used to freak out about the countries donating to the Clinton Foundation. If you were right then, what changed?

The bottom line is if a candidate has direct or (indirect ala a Foundation) financial dealings with Russia, Israel, Saudi Arabia or Tenbucktwo, that's something the American people have a right to know. Same with Corporate business relationships be it, Amazon, Disney, Monsanto, or Johnson & Johnson.

He’s a goddamn real estate titan. The least surprising thing in the world would be to find out that he has licensing deals or otherwise in most every developed nation in the world. And most of his deals involve passive license rights.

You acting like this is nefarious is just pathetic. It’s not. It’s far less scandalous than the Clinton Foundation showing up in 3rd world countries, often after disasters, to throw around money that just happens to go to their friends and allies

I believe the saying is rent free sir. Unless the joke is that he's a real estate titan and owns rather than rents. In which case I apologize and applaud you for your wit.

The only people wanting to see Trump’s tax returns are the ones with a serious case of TDS. They are trying to get some relief.

It’s not a surprise that this recent push came after the the Mueller report nothingburger. Democrats are now grasping at a possible consolation prize. This is now their latest flavor of the week.

If there's nothing nefarious or scandalous, why is this such a big deal??? Why isn't Trump sharing his tax returns like Every F'king Presidential Nominee Since Richard Nixon?

Oh, you mean everyone except you and your little Trumpster friends?

Like Trump said during the 2016 campaign, "he could shoot somebody" and not lose the support of people like you. Hmm, what does that say?

You’re categorizing all Trump voters. Do you not realize out of the 50-60 million voters that voted for him don’t agree with every last word and simply voted for him because nothing ever gets done in this country. I didn’t vote for him because he was “presidential” or a “politician”

Additionally, I continue to fail to see the rationale and argument behind him revealing his tax returns

“Every other president has” is not a reason

This is just a little different, ya think?

The whole thing is a joke. Its not like tax returns lay out who you did business with illegally, so what the hell do they think they will find? Yeah, the guy is rich. BFD.

Not my post, but again, “every other president” is not a reason

He’s not every other president. Are you not aware that he’s a billionaire businessman with investments all over the world?

Why give Democrats ANY reason to pick it apart and interpret it in their own evil ways?

It’s propaganda. What purpose does it serve other than above?

If it can get by the IRS. The biggest ball busters on the planet. That’s good enough for me. Usually when you make much less than Trump and have much simpler returns, THEY ALWAYS FIND SOMETHING!

You're so transparent, it isn't silly. Replace Trump with Hillary Clinton and your "if its okay with the IRS, it's A-Okay with me" line goes out the window.

Be it Democrat or Republican, our leaders need to be held by all Americans to the same high standards.

I honestly don’t care about tax returns. Most Americans don’t. It’s propaganda. The media
It’s just Democrats trying to create a stir

Yes, if it’s good enough for the IRS, it’s good enough by me. I stand by that
