I think there are like 7 Republican congressional reps. there. It would be a shame if low republican turnout due to Trump being off the ballot cost them those seats.
It's actually 100% constitutional that states run their own elections and set requirements for getting on the ballot there. This isn't discriminatory at all. Everyone files taxes this should be a low hurdle to clear.

An 'arbitrary' custom? This "custom" has a very long history dating back to Richard Nixon. Not all candidates released the same number of years but nobody outright stonewalled the public -- until Trump.
And Trump has become the poster child for why it's important for all candidates for our highest office to release their tax returns. If a candidate has a Russian oligarch sugar daddy, the American people should know about it before they vote.

But before you take away my vote Mister Jim Crow Jr., I would like to point out that I do pay taxes on the money I take out each month from my retirement account to live on. I also pay all kinds of other taxes. And for the record, most Americans do too, even if they all don't pay federal income taxes.
It stands to reason that if there was something illegal going on with Trumps tax returns then the IRS would have found it and prosecuted him by now. People with as complex business dealings as Trump don't fall through the cracks. What exactly do people think they will learn by seeing his returns? That he pays the bare minimum amount like the rest of us?
The better question is why WOULDN'T Trump release his tax returns like every other Presidential candidate has done in modern history? What about them are troubling Trump to the point of stonewalling their public release?

The bottom line is if a candidate has direct or (indirect ala a Foundation) financial dealings with Russia, Israel, Saudi Arabia or Tenbucktwo, that's something the American people have a right to know. Same with Corporate business relationships be it, Amazon, Disney, Monsanto, or Johnson & Johnson.
