I'm not exactly sure what the most bizarre part of this story is

The fact that there is a genderless parent who had a child (article doesn't say how) and who refuses to assign a gender to said child on the child's birth certificate...

...or that the parent wants to raise the child in a genderless vacuum and let the child decide its gender later in life...

...or that the family's lawyer spells her name without any capital letters due to a printing error early in her career, and she just ran with it.

These people, IMO, are mentally ill. There is something deeply disturbed in the human psyche if this can somehow be a viable path forward for your child (or you).

I truly hope no daycare or preschool caters to these lunatics. The last thing we need is a precedent being set whereby 1 year olds are being treated as "non binary entities"

This crap is what is killing common sense today. There are two genders, deal with it. The person who had the baby was a female, do you know how I know? Because only women can have babies, science!

To answer @CommuterBob, the most bizarre part is that this women isn't in an institution and someone had sex with her.
We don't know if the subject of the article is the mother or father. Could be either. There's no mention of giving birth to the child by said person - only that the person is fighting to have the child's gender omitted from a birth certificate.

My parents assigned my gender without consulting me. I prefer to be referred to by the pronoun they or vague.
