An independent researcher did an analysis of the Metadata related to the July 5 DNC "hack". He was able to ascertain the file transfer speed based on the timestamps and concluded the speed far exceeds that of a remote hack and points to an insider copying the data, possibly to a flash drive. Some former Intelligence officers for the NSA, CIA, FBI, and military have backed this analysis with their own memo that gives a more detailed explanation on the wider scope of things. In short, there appears to be two leaks: one in the May 2016 timeframe and another in July 2016. The analysis is based on the July 2016 breach. https://consortiumnews.com/2017/07/24/intel-vets-challenge-russia-hack-evidence/

I'm not ruling out that Russians were behind one/all of the breaches. But the intelligence services saying "We're sure" is not good enough, given their track record of lying. There's been zero evidence provided to the public to date and now there's independent evidence that's contradictory. Considering this is the basis for the entire Russian narrative and is being used to paint an existential threat to our Democracy through election tampering, the American People deserve evidence.

As a historical reference, Kennedy declassified images of the missiles in Cuba to prove the Cuban Missile Crises threat existed. It certainly disclosed our intelligence gathering capabilities but was necessary to gain public support. The same applies here. Release evidence of the Russian electioneering. It will unite the People and we can address the issue as one.
