This is what scares me.
Instead of educating and encouraging kids to become electrical and environmental engineers to change the world, we have institutionalized fear, taught them to lobby the government, and that the government should centrally plan things.
It shocks me when I quiz kids on overall impacts of various solutions, and they don't understand 0 impact is impossible. They have been raised to believe many things at odds with thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and potential energy.
And that we should listen to politicians over engineers, because engineers are biased towards business, which have destroyed everything, but our leaders know better for everyone, because we elect them.
Again, fear-based rationale to trust government over those who understand physics.
