I can’t help but feel like we put Aresco over a barrel with this deal. What a bum of a commissioner, I can’t believe we have 14 years to pay off $8mil of the $18 million lol. UCF, UC and UH def high fiving on their way out the door, laughing their a$$es off. Can't wait.
I was pleasantly surprised by this deal. I was hoping for less than a $20mm exit fee. Having it be $18mm with the final $8mm paid over a 12 year span almost seems like Aresco gave us a nice parting gift.I can’t help but feel like we put Aresco over a barrel with this deal. Someone must have dirt on Aresco, or a job in the B12 is opening up soon. 🤔I was pleasantly surprised by this deal. I was hoping for less than a $20mm exit fee. Having it be $18mm with the final $8mm paid over a 12 year span almost seems like Aresco gave us a nice parting gift.
It seems that way when he started negotiations at $45M per schoolSomeone must have dirt on Aresco, or a job in the B12 is opening up soon. 🤔

You take that back!Wouldn't be surprised if he is the next Big 12 commissioner.
IDK, better than the usf guy that was a hot candidate for awhile....until they realized usf didn't stand for University of San Francisco. You take that back!
If Aresco ends up with that gig, we’re all gonna come over to kick you right in the clam! 😉
I thought 17 to 20 million was fair but the time frame is unbelievable. I think 7 years to pay it off would have been fair. We hit the jackpot on the pay off.It seems that way when he started negotiations at $45M per school
The most disturbing thing about this article is why is anyone keeping a countdown for the start of Kansas football?MSN

TM said in an interview that it was very very likely that OU and UT are staying in the league for our first year.twitter rumor:
One high-ranking Texas source tells me now that 2024 is still a more realistic target date for Texas and OU to join the SEC early. So Horns, Sooners teams likely going to Provo, Houston, Cincy, Orlando in 2023.
Aresco had to finalize this deal as fast as possible to bring the new teams in and stabilize the AAC. The 18 million was fair but he really cut us some slack on the payoff. I don't think he is a bum. He was under time constraints to get this done to save the AAC.I can’t help but feel like we put Aresco over a barrel with this deal. How does the Big 12 set their schedule? If you don't have season tix this year you probably aren't going to be able to buy them in 2023. The potential of Texas or Oklahoma playing in Orlando is pretty great. Exciting times ahead. UCF is becoming the future of college football. Sleeping Giant no more.
Texas used to have a lot of influence but not anymore. They’ll play at UCF one week and at BYU the next weekHow does the Big 12 set their schedule?
Big 12 has the incentive to force OU and UT to go and play away games in the new team's cities to screw OU and UT over.
But OU and UT would never want to do that.
Do teams have an influence over the schedule?
